5885 Winfield Blvd, San Jose“Jannsen is an amazing instructor and his gym is topnotch! He has trained several young men that I know - two were trained throughout their younger years. To this day, they are still really good at MMA.
The gym is clean, fun, and friendly. You can work as hard as you want or take breaks. It’s the most supportive place I’ve ever known. And it’s super cool that you can do everything from no contact all the way up to (friendly) sparring, based on your interest level…“

My kids have really enjoyed learning poomsae, all of the different types of kicks/sparring and have been looking forward to their competitions as well. Great place and working out well for my family.“

He creates a welcoming and challenging environment for students of all levels, from beginners to high-level competitors. The dojo is well-organized, with structured classes that focus on technique, discipline, and respect. As a fellow dojo Owner in the East Bay, I can attest about the quality of the instruction and supporting senseis.
What sets CJ Judo apart is not only the quality of instruction but also the strong sense of community. Sensei Chuck Jefferson is dedicated to helping students grow, both on and off the mat. He also organizes the best judo event in California, working alongside Judo United to bring together top athletes for an unforgettable competition experience.

6467 Almaden Expy, San Jose“My kids have been with Vision Martial Arts for the last 5-6 years and I'm blown away by how much they have leaned and grown from it! The instructors are amazing and truly embody the spirit and discipline of martial arts. Their foremost mission is to help the students develop both physical and mental strength and learn what it means to be successful. My only wish is they would do more leadership seminars, etc like they used to before the pandemic.“

“We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience my son has had here. Mr. RM is helpful and is great with all the kids. At Vision they strive not on success but more on growth and how to achieve success through discipline. I love the fact that the students are evaluated on how they perform at school, at home and at Vision. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!“

319 Piercy Rd, San Jose“My son is in the middle of his second year learning and practicing Jiu Jitsu at Battle Control. It has been a great experience for him to become dedicated to something he not only enjoys, but has the opportunity to develop as a skill that will last a lifetime. He is one of the youngest in the adult class and Mr. Lara is very encouraging and patient with him. I love the fact that when everyone enters the building, pride is left behind. The more advanced belts mentor the novices, even in the middle of an intense roll, to help them improve technique. All-in-all it is a wholesome, friendly atmosphere and I'm thankful my son started his Jiu Jitsu journey here.“

1711 Branham Ln A14, San Jose“My daughter Kyley started with World Class Taekwondo from the first opening. She was one of those kids that would perhaps be picked on at some point in her school life. We chose to sign her up for classes and she completed her black belt program in 2017 . The Srokas gave her great confidence , knowledge, and ability to protect herself that transcends into her daily life . I'm forever grateful for that. It is well worth the investment !“

My son started classes here a few years ago and he really enjoys the drills, learning new skills, and team comraderie from his instructors. The classes teach discipline and respect at a young developmental stage in students' lives... it's very valuable. It truly is wonderful to see my son grow in this setting.“

The environment is fun and Master Morris does a great job teaching us and helping us perfect our techniques. Taekwon-Do has taught me discipline, hard work, and overcoming challenges. They are adaptable with lots of times to choose from. Overall, Mightyfist is a great place to work out, practice Taekwon-Do, and have fun!“

6085 Snell Ave, San Jose“When I first brought my son here he was struggling with finding his own identity. He was always quiet and going through life under the radar. And within the first few months he gained so much confidence, his self esteem had grown so much, for that reason alone I am forever grateful to Victory. As a parent we are afraid for our children, afraid that they will be hurt not only physically but emotionally. And Victory has eased my nerves and anxiety because now when I send my son to school I know he will be okay and will protect himself and keep safe while being a respectful young man. Thank You Victory you have made a difference to us all!!!“
