“I understand why everyone comes here to get their glasses done, the staff was very informative and efficient. I went on Sunday with my family of 4. Lucy was the optometrist who examined me, and she explained how my right eye was more near-sighted. I ended up getting anti-glare glasses so I wouldn't have a hard time driving at night. I don't think Lucy spoke Vietnamese, but the other staff members speak both Vietnamese and English very well. Thank you to all the staff who helped translate and explain to my mom her insurance policy and how to maximize our insurance usage. Aaron helped me with the glasses process and fixed our frames within 30-45 minutes. Since this location is at a mall, and near Vietnam Town, it was very easy to pass 30-45 minutes. My previous optometrist needed 1-2 weeks to add our prescriptions, so the one-car-ride trip at Site for Sore Eyes was much more convenient for my family.“

They have maintained a high level of optometry with Dr. Murray (outstanding care & vision therapy) and Dr. James Shin, Dr. Shin has gone "above and beyond thorough" in his eye exams, his complete explanations of my vision concerns, his comprehensive brilliance as well as referrals for ophthalmology needs. “I have been with Dr Lao since end of 2016/early 2017. My family has very strong medical history of glaucoma and I picked Dr Lao specifically because of her expertise in this area. I am very particular about this, and I given I had just moved to the country, I knew what I was looking for. From the first visit until today (2024), I can stand by Dr Lao's professionalism and experience as my eye doctor. She is by far the best eye doctor I've had who works with integrity and ethics. She does not use patient-doctor relationship for her business benefit nor for once attempt to convince me to spend more than I should. I have since recommended friends and even bring my mother (who was visiting) to get glaucoma tests, eye test, prescription, etc. Everyone that I recommended has since stayed on with Dr Lao with no issue. Granted, you wont get any fancy branded frames here. Practical, quality, and precision. I wear prescription glasses and contact lens most of my life. So i know when a doctor has experience to get it right the first time. Pretty disappointed to see other reviews. Thought I'll share my experience here. Also worth mentioning, all the staff who works/worked with Dr Lao are amazing -- you can't work for a bad boss.“
