“It was a really nice , no pressure experience for me being my first time doing yoga. And I spent the rest of the day feeling more relaxed than I have ever been.“
“Had a great experience here! Instructors are super friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend.“
“I only tried the Sunday community yoga and loved it! It was my first class after 4 years of having paused my yoga practice. I’ll be back!“
“Small studio, great teachers, and great energy! Love the variety of times throughout the week.“
“I really liked this yoga studio, especially heated yoga is the best. Sometimes its just really crowded, and there is no own space. And if its your first class you get rent a yoga-mat for free or you can actually buy one. Overall ??“
“Sound Healing meditation was incredible - a tranquil and beautiful experience, thanks to instructor Joseph.“
“I've been practicing yoga with Armando for 5+ years at this point. I love his vinyasa flow yoga -- it's meant for all levels, so there's lots of helpful prompts and hands-on adjustments (if you're comfortable with that), but he also gives options for extra challenges (if that's your speed). It's not "hot yoga", but he has heaters that keep the classes at a nice toasty warm temperature. Recently I've been going to the yoga wall classes. This is a unique experience. I love the feeling of inversions, and this provides a good outlet for that. Yoga poses are done against the wall, against gravity. I think I'm decent at yoga, but the classes kick my butt. It's challenging completely different muscle groups and requires a different type of strength. The classes are very diverse and inclusive. Forget any stereotypes of the typical waifish woman. In class, there's all ages, genders, body types. Particularly for the yoga wall class, I've been impressed by how there is an older/senior demographic, but I realize that everybody gets something different out of the the yoga wall classes. While I'm looking for a core-strengthening challenge, others are looking for a yoga class that takes pressure off their spines, relieve back pain, etc. On nice days, he may occasionally have his vinyasa flow class outside. (He will have updates on his Instagram/Facebook if that is the case.) My favorite routine is to go to his class on Saturday morning, and then get a bite to eat afterwards at Cafe Alma a block away. I can't say enough good things about this studio!“
“This is my favorite yoga studio. I have been going here since before Covid-19, and the studio still has maintained the same relaxing and healing atmosphere. Fatima and Jen are my go-to instructors, but any class you take will give you the workout you didn't know you needed. Love it here and will always keep coming back for more yoga sessions!“
“My 2 children have spent 2 full summers at Petit Pas. We didn’t even look to have them enrolled elsewhere because they have always had such an incredibly enriching and exciting experience.Virginie, Lena and all the staff at Petit Pas are incredibly gifted artists who are so passionate at creating the most fantastic environment for children to explore and thrive in all facets of acrobatics, dance, art, creativity and other forms of self-expression.The staff is also super dedicated to the wellbeing of their campers and keep their safety top of mind at all times.I fully recommend Petit Pas if you are looking for your children to emotionally grow and have wonderful experiences! I can’t wait to enroll both my children in next year’s sessions.Thank you, Petit Pas for not only providing peace of mind to parents but also for making such a positive impact to the lives of so many children. Bravo!“
“I love Cary. Does anyone know where she is teaching now? She did the best 90min Hot Yoga sessions, so sad I'm unsure where all the staff is when I go to book!?“
“I have been attending classes at Folk in Bernal and Noe for a few months now. Very friendly and accommodating staff and teachers and great variety of classes. Great locations!“
“The Noe Folk yoga studio is a cozy space with welcoming teachers. They have a variety of classes from Power Yoga to Restorative to Sound Bath. All the props are brand new and clean. I like that you don't have to pay $$ to rent mats etc. If you live in the Castro like me, it is definitely worth the hike up the Castro Street hill!“
“Quiet and peaceful yoga class and great teacher. I feel so good all day after practice. I like to come here to practice because i don’t feel pressure to wear fancy yoga clothes or do advanced postures. Highly recommend!“
“I've been training with Charles for a little under 2 years. He's the first personal trainer I've ever had and it's been a transformative experience. I went from never deadlifting to deadlifting 315lbs, among other milestones.Just trust the process with Charles and you'll be amazed with the results.“
“This was my introduction to reiki, massage and acupuncture. I worked with three different people and they were all engaging and educational in their approach.Community Well brought me to new levels of relaxation during my entire time and I left feeling more in-tune with my mind, body, and spirit than I ever have before.“
“Jane at Joy of Being is amazing. I was on the cusp of starting my own business, which comes with tons of decisions and of course, hesitancy. She helped me feel energetically, spiritually and emotionally ready to start my business from a centered, and clear space. I owe so much of my current success to Jane and her coaching services, and the way that she led the way through my healing. I can't wait to continue working with her. Thank you, Jane!“
“Monica's skin treatments are sublime. She's clearly passionate about her work, and possesses an impressively encyclopedic knowledge of the botanical components used throughout the process. Just last night, she treated me to an Ecuadorian clay mask, hemp oil massage and deliciously scented Madagascar vanilla aromatherapy. I've never had the same treatment twice, as she customizes the experience according to my mood, and mixes custom oils and lotions on the spot. I always leave Monica's treatment room refreshed and glowing, and inevitably fall into a beautiful deep slumber once I arrive home.“
“Have been a patient for 4 years. Helped me immeasurably during my pre and post op for hip replacement. Also, tutored me in refining my yoga postures and walking alignment. This lady know what she is doing.“
“I had never taken a yoga class in my life. I tried Excelsior Yoga looking to improve my flexibility, but what I got was so much more. My practice with Excelsior has helped my tennis, running, weight lifting, even playing guitar. Plus I just feel physically great all day, a thousand little daily movements are easier and I'm not only more flexible but also more balanced, focused, and calm... dare I say younger? As a beginner I take the Gentle Yoga class, first in the studio and now (writing during the pandemic) online. Nilo does a good job of keeping things moving while also taking the time to explain when necessary. He is at once a tranquil and inspiring presence. If you've never tried yoga before, this is a great place and now is a great time to start.“
“Wendell is a super knowledgeable and talented bodyworker. I’ve been a couple of times now, recommended him to my husband and several friends, and just bought a 20-hour package to keep it up through the new year. He also has session and payment options that make it easy to adjust for your budget. So grateful to have found him and for his work!“
“3.5/5 - Convenient yoga studio in the Potrero neighborhood. Purchased a pass of 5 and attended a variety of classes. I liked yoga instructors Michelle, Zoe and Elise - their classes had a good pace, vibe and poses and they provided modifications to make it easier/harder. The class maxes out at about 10 people comfortably and I enjoy that it's a smaller class but there was one time that it felt tight for space. My biggest knock off the rating is from a morning class I attended where there was a lot of hair and dust around me which was distracting. I'd suggest the studio does a vacuum before each class. Tip: the heater is at the far end of the class (by the changing room) which will blast on and off throughout the class so I wouldn't recommend setting up there if you run warm.“
“Overall a fine stay. I came during off-season, so there weren't a lot of guests there besides me. I'm sure the place is buzzing during tourist season.Room for improvement: Staff communication in English (though I could always get help from the 2-3 English-speaking staff via Whatsapp). Also there were some celebrations from nearby retreats that caused a bit of noise in the evenings, but this was nobody's fault.Great: 3 teachers (Shubham, Neeraj & Tilak), excursions, location near river and mountainside, tasty food, retreat environment.“
“Lovely, little studio that allows for one class at a time. The classes offered are diverse from power flow to restorative to sound bath. The teachers are all so welcoming and I would love to be all of their friends. That said the schedule has been fluctuating quite a bit with constantly rotating classes and teachers. I find a teacher or timing I like and then it changes. Hopefully it's just growing pains and will balance out. Thanks!“
“Quite spacious gym located inside the office building at Tower 2. I recently signed up after leaving my primary gym. I had some must-haves when joining a new gym and this gym met it all. It's super clean, spacious, all the equipment I need. For public access, there are no weekend hours but M-F they're open 5am to 9pm. Bonus, there is also free parking.“
“I attended DanceVibes classes for about a year before moving out of California. DanceVibes gave me confidence, an outlet, new skills, a routine, and community. Jamie's a fun, sassy, and inclusive instructor. Melissa and the guest speakers they had were also great. You can tell how much they love their program by the themed classes they hosted, parade they participated in and how they adapted to COVID/remote classes. Take a class if you can!“
