“We needed several windows replaced due to leakage and old age. We chose Winnifred because he was so generous with his time explaining things and offering us separate bids for replacing some or all of the windows. He was very professional, patient, and willing to answer any and all questions. He's a very good communicator. Everything post Covid seems higher in cost, so there was some sticker shock from the bid, but it seemed like his pricing was in line with the other bids we got. The fact that he is also a licensed contractor reassured us that he would not only be able to replace the windows but also be trained enough in general construction to be able to find the source of the leak and fix it. As a general contractor, he has connections in the trades and brought in a sheet metal worker who did a great job providing solutions and extra protections against the leaks. We feel pretty confident, but the true test will be this winter if we have strong storms with lots of rain. There was a problem at the end, but Winnifred did the right thing and fixed it, standing behind his work with integrity. Overall great customer service, communication, and quality workmanship. We would definitely recommend Winnifred and Glasswork by Design.“
