“As tempted as I am to gatekeep this studio, I have to send a whole lot of love to RockIt Body Pilates and all the instructors here. They are so welcoming and it has become my favorite form of working out in the last 1.5 years. I've been coming here since January of 2023 and have loved it since day 1. Pilates is definitely hard and not for the weak, but keep up and it'll get slightly easier. I promise! The instructors here are so attentive and always help me fix my form so that I can avoid injuries at all costs. They each have their own personality and it makes it so much fun! “For many years, I mistakenly believed that pilates was an exercise practice which only benefitted women. Then, I was fortunate to meet Katelyn Ctvrtlik who (patiently) introduced meet to her Form Los Angeles (formerly Pilates Place) classical pilates practice. I started slowly, so it took some time for me to correctly learn how to breathe, scoop, lengthen, and move with controlled resistance. The workouts were like nothing I had ever experienced in my life, either as a young well-trained athlete, or as an active, aging weekend-warrior. Katelyn's business was rapidly expanding and I added more sessions, these with a second trainer, a professional ballerina named Cara Hansvick. My wife joined in and another friend, too and we have been clients of the studio coming up on five years now. It is now hard for me to imagine any wellness practice which does not include regular pilates sessions. The freedom of movement, the clearness of thought and the calmness of breath experienced following each session is restorative, even when challenging.
