I was seeking a stylist that did interesting work, not so much because I wanted an edgy haircut (although his modern and more challenging cuts are gorgeous) - but more in that I wanted to find someone with the skills to work with my patchy post-partum hair and turn it into something versatile that suits my personality and aesthetic. I was delighted when I saw Matt recommended on the OC subreddit, because he's exactly what I was looking for.His salon space is tidy and beautiful to look at. After searching and searching for stylists that do short hair cuts, I finally found Matt's after an hour of browsing other salons. I called the business number and Matt picked up promptly. After brief consultation and sharing reference photos, Matt provided me an estimate and booked my appointment promptly. By the way, his studio is amazing! I loved the maximalism of it all and also enjoyed asking him about all the fun art pieces. His chair side manner is very amiable and friendly. I appreciated his check ins with me during the cut to make sure it's all going smoothly. Amazing ambience! This space has an incredible dark academia interior design. I have now been a reoccurring costumer for over a year and am never disappointed. Matt provides genuine conversation, and is so intentional when making hair choices with his clients. I have previous hair damage, and every time Matt works with my hair he checks in with me each step of the way to make sure I'm comfortable. My hair is always healthier leaving Full Moon Salon and I am so grateful for the length I've grown since beginning deep conditioning with Matt. P.S.
