“Rigo was helpful getting me registered for my pup's registration and was great explaining what to expect for my pup's first play day. He pulled up the livestream so that I was able to watch as Sitka was introduced to the other pups and staff. As I watched the livestream I could see he was very comfortable meeting staff and other pups, and that was very reassuring. He was happy when I picked him up and that made me comfortable. I look forward to Sitka's next playdate!“

“I cannot put into words how happy I am with Happy heart. Not only because my boys, two younger miniature schnauzers, had a great time and came back, tired and excited and full of life. But because I had a horrible experience at another pet hotel, so I’ve been incredibly trepidation about leaving them with anyone.

From the moment I spoke to Anna Marie I was taken in by her energy and passion. When she met my boys They acted like they had met her before and she was an old friend. She is incredibly communicative, professional, and kind.

If you were looking for training or boarding or any service that they offer, I cannot recommend them enough as there are certain people who are born to do what they do And we are also so lucky that she has services here in West Hollywood.

“I would definitely give a 5 star rating. Zelda is a completely different dog after her stay at CANIS. Each week I could see a difference in her and it was really impressive to see how much she's grown. Her improvements in potty training, pulling and reacting have been the biggest relief for us. She makes better decisions most days, and is really settling down into a dog we can take out and have around the kids more. I really love the attention to train us as well. Jaime, our trainer, explained things very clearly and was so kind to answer all my questions fully. I'm very grateful for her work with Zelda and us in conquering some huge challenges we had. I feel more confident in my ability to communicate with her and train her after one on ones with Jaime. Also, group sessions are very valuable. I love the continued access to group training because I really want to get her to her full potential. Her and I learn so much from the classes that CANIS offers and I look forward to continuing those in the future. I also really appreciate all the staff there. When I had to go out of town i was really worried about boarding her somewhere that wouldn't take good care of her. Especially so soon after her surgery. Though, they took great care of her as always. She got her medication she needed and didn't reopen her stitches while there which I was worried about. Im always happy to see how excited or comfortable she is with different staff members who greet her while we're there. Shows she's really taken care of while I'm away and that is so important. I also love how different staff members have helped me in ways unrelated to training. Three different trainers gave me different advice to help with her skin or stomach issues, and that's improved her quality of life as well. We are so grateful to all of you at CANIS and definitely suggest you to all our family and friends when they see the difference in Zelda.“

“We have two chihuahua mix rescues who have both benefited greatly from their training with Alexandra. One of our dogs was reactive, and its now much easier to bring him on walks as well as have visitors to our home. The other was quite skittish which made training on our own tricky. Alexandra really helped us navigate his needs and build up his confidence. Both of our dogs are more confident and much better citizens since they started training. Also, while we originally did training in person and weren't quite sure how well virtual training would go, Alexandra navigates Zoom training remarkably and we don't feel like we're losing anything from not having in-person sessions.“

“My precious three year old dog suffered a herniated disc, her back legs became paralyzed, and she underwent spinal surgery. After the time I was able to take off work ran out, I was in a panic to find someone I trusted to care for her during the day. I spent hours researching, calling, and even driving to consult with potential caregivers. There was no one I trusted within commuting distance, I truly didn’t know what I was going to do. Thankfully someone at a hospital I called recommended Lili.

From our first interaction over the phone she made me feel comforted. I could immediately sense her knowledge and expertise as well as her deep care for dogs who need her. I drove right over to meet her and it felt like a weight off my shoulders, I found a safe haven for my baby.

Lili and Michelle were flexible with my work schedule, patient with my baby’s anxious attachment, incredibly loving and attentive with their care, and just…… loverall earth angels. Lili even texted me the first day and let me know how my pup was settling in- it’s things like that which separate her from everyone else - she get it, she cares, and she does her job better than anyone. Words just can’t express what the confidence and comfort I felt when leaving my dog with her meant to me.

“Ian and his crew love dogs! I wish I could say this is common in his field, but we had several bad experiences elsewhere before Sunset Barquis. We love our dog beyond a healthy amount, and relinquishing control over him is hard for us (yes, we’re helicopter parents).

Through picture and video updates throughout the day we can see our little guy having the time of his life, playing with the other dogs and the staff. They walk him regularly, feed him and offer a variety of other services.

They are extremely reasonable with their prices, and we would happily pay more to receive the same quality of care and attention. If you need a place for your fur baby to be safe while you’re busy with life, you can trust them to take care of yours like their own.“

“Jenina is so incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional--I would recommend her to anyone who needs help training their puppy or adult dog. We did the 4 session in-home training with our 2-year-old chihuahua/dachshund mix, who is very reactive and not friendly to new people. Jenina taught us and modeled certain commands and then we had the opportunity to try them on and get feedback so we were performing them properly. She was also so calm and patient throughout our sessions. Jenina provided us with helpful handouts to continue training, as it requires daily training on the owners part to ensure the skills are truly learned. We are incredibly grateful for her guidance and knowledge as it has made our dog much more secure and us more confident dog owners.“

“Dumont has been walking my dog since 2020 so this is looong overdue. I loved my previous dog walkers (FitPals), but moved out of the area and needed to find someone I could trust with my leash aggressive and reactive dog. He’s done such a great job with her socialization with the pack walks and yard days. I’m thankful she can get that experience and exercise. He also takes great photos of her in the daily recap, which I find impossible to do myself.

Also, he’s been very supportive of my dog when she has health issues, and I know he’s been the same with other clients. It’s a great comfort to know he cares so much for the pack members.“

“Dr Brooks and her staff are very caring, devoted and effective. My dog Mocha had a medical problem with confusing symptoms that VCA ER was not able to get to the bottom of unless we waited all night. I called Mar Vista Vet and they got him in very quickly and worked around my schedule, made sure to thoroughly rule out high acuity medical issues such as pancreatitis, and when my dog left we knew his symptoms where not related to anything other than his back aches. When Mocha left Mar Vista Vet he was happy and feeling better. Thank you Dr Brooks and Mar Vista Vet staff for being there for Mocha!“
