“I retained J&J fence to install a 8 foot plastic composite security fence along 50 feet of the side of the LA property with a gate. They came out for the initial evaluation and took all measurements. The fence was going to have to be fabricated to take into account brick pilasters and a slope from the garage to the front side of the compound. We also needed a solid base as the fence would be subjected to afternoon strong winds. We also wanted to use an inland empire manufactures fencing products. A week later they arrived and prepared the site for the install. They installed the fence framework into concrete in one day, came back the next day to install concrete inside the posts and a third day to install the gate. Then they cleaned the entire area. We are very pleased with the final product. The final product is stunning, solid and comes with a manufacturer's warranty. Avoid the big box store "cheap fences" which blister and fade. 10 out of 10 company on all fronts.“

We were shy about hiring someone else but once we met the owner of Coast Iron Works we knew he was an honest man. “This review is long overdue, but Sam built three redwood gates with fencing for me a couple years back and I was, and still am, very happy with the results. The existing rotten (and termite infested) gates and a fence on a block wall were removed and new gates and fencing were installed with the design being simple, functional, and termite resistant due to the redwood construction. The cost was reasonable and installation was done within the agreed time period with good communication between us. After a few years the gates still function perfectly and the finish and construction have held up nicely.Sam also removed a termite infested balcony railing and built and painted a new redwood railing that was exactly what I wanted and showed great attention to detail. Like the gates and fencing, it is holding up very nicely.If you desire new fencing or gates then I think you would be happy with Sam. I have every intention of turning to Sam when I have new projects.“

“I had read the few reviews on-line and was apprehensive to contact this company. I tried to find other sources but not much luck. So I re-read the negative reviews and I did not notice any complaint about quality. Most complaints seemed like they were busy. So I made a material list and came in to place my order. I met A J the Owner. He started to help me, was very busy, noticed I had a list so asked if he could take my list and email a quote. I had to call to follow up to get quote but got it. every time I called in the Lady who answer was very pleasant. Placed order. Had to wait a couple of weeks as he had stated. When I went to pick up my order I was blown away at the quality - especially the Powder Coating - Excellent. Each painted part was individually wrapped in plastic. Unbelievable. I loved the quality and the protection. How many times do parts get all scratched up in transport. Much Thanks AJ and Crew. I will buy again on my next project.“
