We discovered a small leak in the wall behind our tankless water heater and like any new homeowner, freaked out. We called PR Plumbing and they told they send out someone out between 4 and 6 PM. At 4:10, Eric showed up and within minutes, he was 90% sure what the issue was. Turns out he was spot on and fixed the issue within a few hours. The issue? - When installing tankless water heaters into new builds, sometimes the plumbers do not fully clamp the copper piping to the PVC pipe tight enough causing a very very slow leaks. Over time and use it gets worse. When I asked how long he thought this had been leaking for he said, "probably shortly after the completion of the home in 2019" Say what?! Luckily we were home when the leak really gave away. Can you imagine if we went on vacation during the Christmas holiday? PR plumbing charges about $135 an hour, which includes labor, but not parts needed. I thought that was a pretty stellar rate! All together we were just under $300 total for the job.“
