I am soooo impressed with how good this company performed my project! They saved me so much money on my PGE bill by installing spray foam, and they ACTUALLY explained how spray foam works. There is ALOT of building science that goes into this! From my research, they are the only company in Humbolt that has factory trained foam installers, and definitely the only ones that seemed to know what they were talking about. It was smooth from the first time I called to when the guys finished the job, and they didn't require a down payment. The other guy wanted half down, and that's not even legal in CA. Go figure. Anyway, if this didnt work as well as they had said, I wouldn't even bother leaving a review. Stellar performance, great pricing, and what I'm saving monthly now would have been worth paying double. Take it from me, use these guys. Look how clean the shop is!!!

I got my solar installed about a year ago with Greenwired and I couldn't be happier. We had a new kitchen countertop and sink installed and needed a plumber to re-install the garbage disposal and hook up the water. Forrest was busy the day we needed but he made time for us. He arrived exactly when he said he would and went right to work. Immediately he saw that the countertop installer had left the garbage disposal sitting in an aluminum foil pan that a water line was also dripping into. The disposal was soaked but Forrest opened it up, let it dry, and tested it. Still worked. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and I felt his price was very fair considering everything he did for us. Would recommend and will call him again when we need a plumber.

I had a wonderful visit with Lisa today. I definitely recommend her. You won’t be disappointed. I had a Color and cut. It was probably one of the best visits in a salon that I’ve had in a few years. It was a morning appointment and it’s fall so I was greeted with a heating pad on the chair and offers of coffee and water. We exchanged in pleasant conversations through the visit. It has been 3 hours since I got out of the chair and have received several compliments on my hair. I am already excited about my next appointment. If you haven’t, I recommend a visit.

The float tank is super relaxing and they have products for you to use after to do your hair so you don’t leave looking like you just showered. If you need 30 mins or an hour of quiet to meditate or think or just have a moment alone, this is the place to go. The salt leaves you feeling rejuvenated, it reminds me of the feeling I would get after surfing, it’s a nice refreshing feeling. Must try this if you’re looking to quiet your mind.

Google suggested I review this place and I was extremely disappointed in myself for not reviewing earlier. Michael is the best barber not only in Humboldt, but the entire northern cali region. I went to the same barber in LA for 7 years until I moved to Eureka. I tried Michael out 2.5 years ago and now I see him at least once a month. Professional, highly skilled, and awesome vibes at the shop. Don’t even waste your time with anyone else. Book an appointment with Michael and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Jean is the best! I was diagnosed With Melanoma cancer right before the pandemic and afterwards I struggled to find a new lease on life. What better way to live than explore my identity which I did with hair color, haircuts, and perms, yes, they still exist. Jean was there for me, doing whatever I asked and I am cancer free! The Best Hair Removal Experience I ever had!Laura Trevino was absolutely outstanding and professional. I was shy about getting a Brazilian for first time ever; she explained the procedure and it was went so well and effortlessly. I know Laura is big on confidentiality; this is important to me since we live in a small city where a great deal of people know me. I found Laura's place to be immaculate and sanitary. A lot of the art in the shop is traditional tattoo style, but these guys do all sorts of styles. Alejandro has some really cool Mayan designs, though we ended up going with a botanical. Highly recommend this shop. Clean, great to work with, and of course great artists!

I was up in Humboldt county to vacation from SoCal to see the trees and gain some peace after the stressful semester and losing my 6 month old cat, spoon. I was in search of a tattoo artist who could help me out with getting a memorial tattoo for him as I wanted to honor him and have him with me forever. I got into contact with Alexa, as I seen her work on instagram and loved her skill. She was available within the week of my vacation and was very flexible with scheduling with times and days. Her tattooing and drawing are very talented, as she drew the design directly on my body and tattooed without a printed stencil. She knew exactly what I had envisioned and executed it perfectly. The shop is very clean, friendly, and welcoming. All of the staff are amazing and everyone’s artwork looks stellar. I want to thank Alexa again for her amazing art and comforting atmosphere. When I come back (I will be back to Humboldt!) I will definitely make it a MUST to come back to this shop. Don’t hesitate booking an appointment!! (:

Fast, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. My job was a two day marathon I needed two bathroom sinks. New shower valves in both bathrooms. Complete redo of kitchen sink drain and remove broken garbage disposal. New on/off water valves on the sinks, and finally a new water heater but now there is a solid floor in the water heater space with a proper drain plan. The new heater came with a 12 year warranty. The people at Maples Service can get the job done on time and on budget. My service person even helped me keep my cat in the house which she and I just moved to. I highly recommend Maples Service for plumbing but they do more than just plumbing. I got everything I needed from them and they didn't try to upsell me on any unneeded items.

We recently had North Coast Floor & Tile tear out existing flooring in laundry, kitchen, living and dining rooms in a rental & replace with vinyl plank. They also tore out an existing shower & reinstalled new schluter system at pan & replaced some tile and some damaged flooring. We are very happy with the completed work. From the first estimate by Stefan to the informative help from Sales Consultants Brittany & Kerry in the showroom to installation of vinyl plank by Jim, shower & tile replacement by Isaac, they were professional, helpful & on time and did what they said they would do at a reasonable cost.

We hired Eric and crew to build a fence around our garden (over 100'). We had an idea of how we wanted it to look but sometimes it’s hard to convey your vision to those doing the work. Eric came by to look at the project and asked all the right questions. He also made a few great suggestions that we hadn’t considered. The fence is one of the first things you see as you come down our driveway so we wanted it to be nice. In the end the fence came out beautifully, better than we had hoped! And we haven’t had a deer in the garden since.We also hired Eric to rebuild a section of fence (not the garden fence thankfully) destroyed by a giant branch that fell out of a very large redwood tree. Eric rebuilt it to match the garden fence and it looks fantastic!We definitely plan on hiring him again to help design and build a new deck on our house. He also had some great ideas about that which we hadn’t thought of.100% would hire again!

I started seeing Dr. Palmer this year for some much needed dental work. I’ve been very happy with my new and improved smile. Dr. Palmer has a great team working with him, and they really are a great team. Dr. Palmer even had me come in to redo a crown, which looked and felt fine, but he didn’t like the way it was seated and had me back the next week to replace it. I’m excited to get the rest of the work done. I’m old, and Dr. Palmer is the best dentist I’ve been to in a long time.

She is very skilled in acupressure and provided a wonderful whole body massage. I think she is a great addition to Dr. Anna's practice at Happy Healthy Chiropractic.

The place is fabulous. We saw a very young man veterinarian who was just so sweet and caring and knowledgeable and gave us good information and seems really care about our dog.

My cat has always gone here and everyone that works here is very caring and attentive with her. The vet techs love my cat and always give her lots of pets. They are very good with knowing when my cat has had enough of something so as to not stress her out too much. If you ever need extra time to pay for vet expenses, they have pamphlets there for CareCredit. The pamphlets have a QR code to quickly sign up for the credit card. After you are approved, they can look up your card and put your charges on your card. I did this when I had to pay $2700 when my cat got sick.
They've been helping me care for my furbabies for over ten years. Non-urgent appointments can be scheduled as far as six weeks out, but my cats are very good with the doctors there, so I won't take them anywhere else.
I'm so grateful Healing Spirit Animal Wellness Center was the Emergency vet on call when my dog had blood in her stools. Stephanie, the tech, was efficient and kind, and Dr. Sarah was clear with her explanations and treatment plan. I'm new in town and, while this isn't the ideal way to establish a relationship with a new vet, it was a wonderful experience. And, just 24 hours later, my dog is eating again and acting much more like herself.

I’ve been dealing with constant spasms in my leg, along with twitching that wouldn’t quit and couldn’t be explained by my doctor. In desperation I decided to seek out a massage in attempts to relieve the issue. I got a 90min massage by Marissa Celeste and she took her time understanding what my issues were and working them out. She had to adjust the pressure and how she massaged several times because spasms kept initially happening. But she kept trying and was very careful with me. Ever since the massage (over 24 hours) I’ve had relief from all spasms, and it’s been months since that’s happened. Also I’m pain free in some of the other areas she worked. If you’re suffering with pain you should definitely schedule an appointment here and asap.

Stephanie is amazing. The massage was such a perfect combination of relaxing and truly therapeutic. She really targets the knots and tension with firm pressure, but it was never too intense. I highly recommend!

I was a little bit sore, and so I decided that I needed a massage. I came here based on the reviews. Monica was able to take me as a walk-in. I asked if I could take a shower before my massage, but Monica apologized, and explained that they didn't have one. That's fine, some places do, some places don't. The entire place, including the massage room, was spotless, and felt very comfortable. The massage room had subdued lighting, and very relaxing music. I paid for an hour massage, and I got a full hour massage. Monica was very professional, and very good at what she does. I asked for a medium massage, and that's what I got. A little bit firm in a couple of spots, but not too much so. Even when she was a bit firm, it still felt great. She was able to straddle the line between medium and overly firm very well. She was very friendly, and listened very well to my requests. I left feeling great. This is *NOT* one of those "questionable places" that offer "extra services."It was a very professional, very legitimate massage. The price was only $60 for the hour, plus tip. They do take cash or credit cards. I now have a place in town where I can go if I need a massage. Thank you, Monica!
We have wonderful foot massages while we were on vacation. Will definitely return next time we are out this way.
I have been coming to Redwood acres for over 50 years, ever since our family moved to town in 1974. They keep up the grounds very very well. As for events, You name the event, I've probably been to it. Auto racing, the circus, I saw the lippizaner stallions here the Sunday flea market. The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.
Humboldt Driving School turned my life around. I was handicap when I was in my late 20s, not knowing how to drive or do anything right. They taught me one of the most crucial lessons of my entire existence, seeing as I am now, a professional driver for a living. My quality of life skyrocketed shortly after the lessons. I am no longer compromised socially. Thank you, your contribution is one of the greatest of my entire life
The staff were very nice and respectful and helped me understand how to properly maneuver and operate the vehicle. They gave accurate information about how to drive properly, and gave me tips on what I could do better so that I can improve throughout my next lessons. Both Bob and Larry were very nice, and answered any questions that I had. If I had to take this course again, I would definitely choose Eureka Driving & Traffic School.
