I've been to different spas, I love taking care of my skin and Mie by far is the best. She offers great facials, is very professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented and extremely caring. My daughter also gets the teen facial and she loves it. Her skin is getting so much better. I've also gotten my lips tattoo . And pretty soon my eyebrows and eye liner. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face. She's absolutely the best is the industry.

Sheena is absolutely the BEST! I look forward to every visit. I enjoy our chats and how fast I see my hair disappearing! This is my first experience with electrolysis and during my first session, she went above and beyond to explain everything in great detail and answer any questions. She even had a physical presentation in a binder to walk me through what to expect! It made it so much easier to understand how this works and set realistic expectations.Her studio space reminds me of a spa. I love that she took the time to make the space feel so inviting and relaxing. I also love that she keeps her space tidy and her equipment disinfected. I've had a handful of sessions now.I've noticed such an improvement in my chin area. She can identify the hair growth cycle that pertains to your treatments and recommends the frequency and duration of your sessions. Since the treatments can add up over time, it's so nice to know that she is honest about how far apart you can space your sessions while still being successful with the removal. If you end up having a session where you don't have enough hair to remove the full time, she will work on other areas that you may want removed too! Bonus!

Instructor was phenomenal and has mentored my son really well, teaching him fundamentals or driving and how to be safe on the road. Brian’s expertise were instrumental in teaching my son most important things, such as safety, and also mentoring him how to be good and proactive driver. Very pleased to have had Brian as my son’s instructor, if you get a chance to pick, Brian is the one.

I have been going to Lindy for over 30 years. I used to frequent the Encinitas area often from Los Angeles County and every time Lindy had availability I would get my roots done. Often I would also see Lindy to get highlights, cut and style. I no longer have reason to be in the Encinitas area, but every 6 months or so my current local hairdresser asks me to visit Lindy for my highlights. My current hairdresser said I have fine hair and Lindy makes the highlights look very natural. I highly recommend Lindy for your hair needs -- even if you have to travel to see her. Thank you Lindy!

I got a quick trim yesterday with Daisy. She was outstanding!! She gave the best head massage, too! The products were phenomenal, giving my hair a really nice shine to it by the time I left the salon. That said, the service was not spectacular (I wasn't really sure who was giving me a haircut nor when), but the haircut made up for the wait.

All of the stylists are fantastic. They take a lot of pride in their craft and it really shows. If you are a guy and need a reliable place to get a really great haircut, check out V&M. You won't be disappointed...
I love a cash only, old-school barber shop that doesn't mess around. You don't get to work there if you have an attitude and can't cut hair. Rico screens his barbers pretty well. Walk in, grab a number, check the number board, ask what the wait time is (approximately) and go do a couple things. Check out the scuba shop next door...have a beer or bite of food at Mr. Peabodys, grab some Mexican food, shop at the gourmet grocery store, hit up Wendy's, get a 30 minute stretch session at Stretch Zone...lots of ways to fill your time. Then head back and know that no matter who cuts your hair it's going to be good. I prefer Rico (owner) and Sunshine (cool hair, great smile) but haven't had a bad cut yet. They can do small talk, you can sit and chill and not say much as well, it's all good. Great low-key vibe and usually cool tunes jamming in the background. Place is always has always a steady flow of customers - a good sign. Plan on a 30 minute wait or so and conduct your business accordingly. ATM on premises so you can pay for your haircut in greenbacks, wampum, dead presidents, you know the drill. It's $35 - but toss an extra $5 or $10 and feel like a big spender. You will be appreciated more than you know.

Courteous and friendly staff with good powered tanning beds keeps me coming back for more! The only suggestions I can think of is maybe a better music selection on the tanning bed that talks to you (the one located towards the front of the salon). Another suggestion would be to maybe offer customers a small towel (cloth or paper) prior to the tanning session that way we have something to wipe the excess sweat off of us.
This place is so great!! I got the deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. They took their time to do a good job and gave great massages. They took the time to make sure I liked the colors and even made suggestions for ones I liked better. It's very relaxing and clean. This is my new nail spot.

I was staying in Encinitas for the weekend and needed my nails done and happened upon best nails. I got there a little after 6:00 and they were closing at 7:00 and asked if they had time to do my nails. They happily said yes.. When I showed them the nail design that I was hoping to get the male owner who was shaping my nails said that he couldn't do that but he was going to see if someone else could. He did a great job shaping my nails and then his daughter came to do the polish. Kim is her name. She took such care in doing a beautiful design. I feel really bad because I didn't get out of there until 8:00. An hour after they closed. But they were so gracious. I am most likely going to make the 30-minute trip from my house to Encinitas to get my nails done again. Thank you so much for the great service.

Thanks to the great reviews- we found a nail salon that was clean and excellent. It is in a very nice area in a plaza and the ladies were sooooo nice. They offered us water and my acrylic nails were done meticuoulsly. I also want to say I have never had such a long foot massage and they even did my hands and arms- this is worth mentioning as most places do it for 10 seconds but she must have massaged me for 20 minutes! I wish I could say I was exaggerating! I would absolutely come back there again and the price was very reasonable too. Thank you.

She is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever been to (and I've been to a lot). I am a blond, and she absolutely gets my color right every time. She’s helped my skin become healthier, got me on a great regimen at a great price, does different facials every time for what my skin needs, continuously keeps in contact with me, educates me and cares about my skin needs. Also, her place is so cute, clean and calming. I always look forward to seeing her every month and I highly recommend her if anyone is looking for a new esthetician!

I’ve been seeing Yuko for over 2 years now, and she’s continues to be AMAZING! I started experiencing adult acne at 30, and she immediately recognized the need for a deeper approach, suggesting I consult a dermatologist for hormone issues. Yuko crafted a tailored regimen that targeted my internal health as well, which made a significant difference. Her honesty and expert guidance have been invaluable. Thanks to her, my skin has been clear of acne for over a year, and we’ve now shifted focus to anti-aging and maintenance. I still look forward to our monthly sessions and she is truly the BEST!

I’ve had a spa membership here for the last year and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Walking into the spa always brightens up my day since everyone who works here is warm and friendly. I’ve had three massages here with two different therapists and they have all been EXCELLENT. Both therapists (Braznick and Lavinia) did a great job of making me feel at ease while they found and released points of tension all over my body. The relaxation room is a great place to unwind, the sauna is lovely, and overall I couldn’t recommend this place more. If you aren’t staying at the hotel I suggest opting for the daycation package, because hot tub + cocktail + cliff views = best way to end your spa day.

Tom just replaced my water heater. He was incredibly efficient, affordable & reliable. I had the estimate on Monday & the job completed on Thursday. He was knowledgeable about tankless and tank water heaters.
Of course there is no convenient time to have a plumbing issue. So, a Saturday when the husband is away on a golf trip with the boys was inevitable, right? I heard the sound of water running in the walls. No water was running that I could find. Something was not right and I knew it. I called a well known plumbing company describing my situation and they said they couldn’t get anyone out until Tuesday. That wasn’t working for me. I Googled “emergency plumbers” and Big B’s had the highest ratings and lots of them. I was hesitant to go with a company I’d never heard of but gave them a call. They said they could have someone out that afternoon and sent me a picture of the tech who would be arriving with a short bio. I was lucky enough to get Ryan Witowich. He quickly and professionally diagnosed the issue (slab leak) isolated which pipe was leaking, showed and explained everything in terms I could understand as he did his job, and talked to my husband so we could make the decision on how best to move forward with repairs and ensured we were “stable” to use water through the rest of the weekend. We had a team of about 10 show up punctually Monday morning to begin work to replace all of our pipes and get them off the slab. These guys are amazing! They knocked out the whole project in under a week with drywall and stucco guys done, and everything cleaned up. Everyone we worked with were absolute professionals. These are 100% the people you want when you have a plumbing emergency.

Local Floor Cleaners were excellent. I sent out a bunch of requests over Yelp -- they were the first to respond and were able to come to my house within 48 hours. Skylar and team were professional and friendly, and HONEST. I had several oriental rugs, one which was in bad shape from moths. He was honest and upfront about the stains that might not come out, and also told me which rugs didn't need to be cleaned. I would highly recommend them!!

REMOCA just completed repairing our downstairs bathroom and we thought we would share our positive experience working with Leo and his team.Our bathroom had experienced a previous water leak which had been repaired but the bathroom walls and door needed repair. The door wouldn’t shut and the wall near the toilet had seen better days.I made a call to Leo at REMOCA to see if their company could repair the walls or if he would recommend a full bathroom remodel. Leo made a visit to our house, quickly determined that there were some repairs needed but we didn’t need a remodel. He made some sound, considerate advice based on his many years of construction experience and pointed out some design considerations that would really help in any future remodel.During the construction phase, Leo’s team were on time as scheduled, professional, thoughtful of their surroundings. The workers were considerate and mindful that they were in a household - keeping their job site clean and doing a professional job with their repair. Our family was impressed throughout the timely process and its result.We are happy with our repaired bathroom. The wall was repaired, painted and the door works correctly. Deckamond was the most responsive company we had out of 12 who bid our job. They had competitive pricing, were really knowledgeable, had great references (all the references checked out and could not say enough good about this team). They were in the running until the very end and honestly if we could have hired 2 companies the other would have been Deckamond. We decided to go with a contractor who just did the identical remodel. Please consider this company as their flexibility and communication are excellent.
I hate to tell anyone how good these guys are, for fear of not getting them back for additional projects! They originally came out to address water damage in my bathroom. After insurance hired a cheaper option to replace drywall and paint, PFR came to the rescue to fix the seriously subpar work of the other guy. Rudy did a fantastic job, and Terry stopped by to make sure we were happy with the work. It was a night-and-day difference!

I interviewed a number of landscape companies and Chris @ Ecology Artisans stood out well above the competition when it came to plant and tree expertise. In our case, mostly CA native/low water and fruit trees. He also has a deep understanding of the surrounding environment you need to create for your flora to flourish.Most landscape vendors I spoke with just wanted to know what we wanted and where, but there is a lot more to it. We setup multiple catch basins to maximize (hold in) our occasional rains and re-graded the property to get water to flow where we wanted it.His crew are great too, and complement him not just report to him. The whole team are great communicators which is hard to find these days.We had a tricky patio (paver) install situation based on an uneven house and an overgrown tree to deal with and they were patient working through these complexities whereas most vendors would just want to push you through suboptimal solutions and cut corners.If you have a mostly hardscaping project, there are many vendors out there that can do a great job, but if you are interested in trees and plants, Ecology Artisans is a rare find.Services: Walkway landscaping

We had an excellent experience with the team at Revolution Landscape. From the inception of our project to it's completion, Ari and Jeff listened closely to our desires and concerns and delivered an excellent plan that somehow managed to be within our budget and provided us with an amazing yard that we're very proud of. Their plan included a fruit tree orchard, raised garden beds, front and back porch pergolas, a dojo for our tai chi practice and an incredible fire pit with rock wall seating and water feature. They kept in close touch every step of the way and their on-site project manager Fernando was a delight for my wife and I to work with. Since the installation, Jeff and Ari have returned to monitor the growth of all the plants and trees and offered invaluable advice regarding the pruning of the fruit trees and effective irrigation management. We would recommend them highly to anyone looking for top quality landscaping.

Finally, a good dentist that shows care for the patient. And is a good dentist technically. After 20+ years with my old dentist, who just retired, I went to two other dentists looking for good care. And neither of those dentists showed any care for the patient. One of them didn't even shop up for a scheduled appointment. You could tell, they just wanted the money. I sure hope Dr. Willis stays around a long time. And his staff from receptionist to hygienist also showed care for the patient.

The doctor treated 6 teeth for my daughter, and I am very glad that it was stress-free! I didn't care about the cost of my daughter's dental treatment, my main task was to use the least impact on the child's brain through calming medicine or not to use it at all if possible and to do it without stress, efficiently and quickly! We visited many children's clinics and made the right choice! I want to note that this is the only clinic that did not take money for the first consultation and examination and used x-rays from other clinics without forcing my child to be irradiated again ! I was very surprised!!! If the doctor is a professional, he will see the problem in any image. Thank you for your work !

My 16mo old baby girl fell at the park and chipped her tooth and I was so worried it was going to fall out or discolor or have some lingering effects when I started googling what happened (google gets me every time- ha!). We took her to Scripps and they recommended Dr. Matt so I called after hours and left a voicemail hoping they could get us in the next day. I actually got a call back from Dr Matt that night and I was in tears when I picked up, so worried about her. He was the kindest human to me, didn't rush me off the phone, and assured me my daughter was going to be okay and that he'd see her right away the next morning. We got there and the entire reception staff was great, then Theresa and Dr Matt kept her super occupied with adorable rubber duckies and distractions and she didn't fuss much at all which made my mama heart so happy. The night before she was screaming when the other doctor put her hands in her mouth so I was terrified for the dentist appt- and while she didn't LOVE them in her mouth she barely fussed and was smiling and saying "bye bye" to them at the end. He assured me I have nothing to worry about once again, that her tooth is solid in there still and that these things happen all the time. While I'm not stoked my baby fell and chipped her tooth, I'm so happy we now have an incredible pediatric dentist! In fact, I got home and told my husband hmm I wonder if they see adults since I'm quite the baby when it comes to the dentist, too . Thank you Dr Matt & team!!!

Dr. Sebastian and the staff at Leucadua Chiropractic are truely amazing! I was in an pretty bad accident where I was rear ended on the freeway. I've been seeing Dr. Copping for chiropracric and nutrition for approximately 20 yrs. Through his holistic approach, he has helped me recover from numerous health challenges over the years, from tendonitis to shingles! I always see him 1st for any health issues that arise and for preventative maintenance. He's like a trusted friend who truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients and the ability of the body to truly heal itself given the right environment and nutrients. Not to mention, he's very warm, supportive, and funny and his staff is always accommodating and helpful. I can't even count the number of people I've referred to him over the years. Highly recommend!

I love alternative medicine products to help my body heal naturally vs. conventional default to antibiotics. My Kaiser doctor works in harmony, and stands by if any broken bones or life-threatening situations.

Dr. Shahan and his entire staff are excellent! I visited the office to get to the bottom of a "mystery" skin condition which had not been correctly diagnosed by my primary care physician. Dr. Lloyd basically fixed damage done by another provider after 1 treatment. Also she’s real about options and doesn’t waste time. Her clinic is adequately staffed and her staff is refreshingly competent and efficient.
Pros: 1st appointment: I saw Gary Vanetsky. He was thorough, took my full history, looked closely at my concern(s), offered me treatments that are covered by insurance, didn't try to upsell me on anything (in fact, I left with a free sample of an OTC at my second appointment which helped me follow his advice without having to make another stop). None of this happened at the dermatology office I went to; he was my second opinion and I'm so glad I went. 2nd appointment: I went back for a full body check and he was incredibly thoughtful, ethical, and made me feel at ease. I initially was set up by the assistant, and I wasn't fully covered up. When he entered the room he immediately turned this into a teaching moment for the assistant telling her how to make sure I was more covered so I could feel more comfortable. This happened without me saying anything about it or expressing any concern, he did it without a second thought. His teaching also sounded kind, which was really nice to hear. All around a really positive experience and I have my third appointment with him coming up. I plan to keep coming back for sure.

My companion of 18 years was carried across the bridge on 8/8/2024 at 18 Dr VanWorth, Dr Kovac, and Dr Leslie had done their best in making clinical assessments on Coco at the time but for nearly 3 years in Heart disease MMVD stage B2 with severe regurgitation, Coco was always on borrowed time. On her last day X-rays showed her entire cavity filled with fluid and that was time. Coco refused to go down without a fight - her will to be loved and to live was strong but her ailing condition was inevitable Thanks for your care and the many times you work so hard to support slotting me in, even answering my calls before the office day started Bless all of you and families

We’ve had Sasha as our groomer for over 2 years. She’s always on time and great with our dog, who is a reluctant pup - afraid of the dryer and hates her nails clipped. Previously, we took her to a groomer with lots of other dogs and noise and she was so anxious we were called to pick her up because they thought she was sick. Thank goodness we found Sasha!!
Katherine and her team are the best! I've been to the groomers where they just shaved down your dog without any thought. Posh Pets really puts time and effort into making your pups look adorable!
I've been out of the country 2 years and planned my trip back around making sure I could attend a few of Merry Trentadue's classes while I'm here: that's how much I LOVE her Yin Yoga classes. The sound healing with it makes it very special. The room setup with lights across ceiling just adds to overall ambience. I always float out of the room after one her classes.
The biggest variety of adult dance classes you will find in Encinitas and North County. My favorites are cardio hip hop, jazz, cardio Latin. They also have modern soul which is similar to contemporary, contemporary ballet and heels classes. The instructors are top-notch, great with beginners, challenge the more experienced dancers, and all are super sweet. If you love to dance, there's something there for you! If you're not a dancer, there are also many fitness classes, including mat Pilates, barre and HIIT. Aside from the classes, this studio has a great community of amazing supportive women. Lastly, it's a beautiful clean Dance space. If you try a class MBDY, I hope you love the classes, instructors and community of women as much as I do! First class is free, what are you waiting for?
What a joy finding Bliss Yoga in Encinitas was a few months ago - a locally owned business with a beautiful energy and healing space. I am a beginner and attend the 9:30am class week days and 9am class on Saturday. Additionally I have attended other events here including an evening breath work class which was exceptional. You can tell Lorraine the owner loves her business and she is such a nice and warm person. This is by far one of my most favorite discoveries since moving to Encinitas a fee years ago.
Excellent place to learn yoga (astanga method). Practice makes body flexible and strong also heals body and mind. I am IT engineer for more than 15years. My metabolism degraded with sitting and working for long hours. This method benefitted me to regain my strength and improved digestion and metabolism, also improved triglycerides levels a lot. Andrew is excellent teacher and very friendly. Very lucky to be have him in San Diego and learning yoga with him.

I wanted to say thank you to Natalie! Got so lucky with trying her out! She has a wonderful personality and is very knowledgeable. I went to see her for "pilates" as I have worked with other studios. She immediately got me sized up and we have taken some great training she has and put it to amazing use for my "body." She has some great techniques for pain, training and strength. I have been so fortunate to find her! She is a boutique studio with many ideas to fix many issues! More than just pilates!!!!!! Tried my first class yesterday and Erin was great! I haven't done a lot of pilates in my life but a few friends told me this class has them stronger than they have ever been. I woke up sore in the right places today and I can't wait to go back tomorrow to see her again. Highly recommend the manual lymphatic drainage massage! Each time I felt less bloated, experienced fewer headaches, and experienced improved sleep. Destiny is amazing at what she does and the massage itself is incredibly relaxing!

Philippe is incredibly knowledgable when it comes to pain management and prevention. He offers both therapeutic massages and coaching sessions to help build a plan that will support your recovery long-term. During my initial consult with him to talk through my challenges with back pain he shared several tips to start incorporating into my day to day life and then did a targeted deep tissue massage and exercises focused on decontracting the muscles. I really appreciated Philippe's holistic approach and focus on long-term recovery goals.

Cristy is a miracle worker! I had a complex surgery on my arm and hand that after a few months of rehabilitation therapy I still had little movement and lots of swelling. My surgeon suggested lymphatic drainage massage, so I found Cristy's clinic online. At my first appointment, she did a thorough assessment of my posture and physical limitations. She recommended myofacia release therapy and spent 90 minutes doing amazing stretching type movements (much more complicated then that but hard to describe.) She can feel the scar tissue releasing with her movements. By the end of one session I had about 30% more range of motion and my pain and swelling decreased significantly. I have seen her two more times since and I look forward to the visits because I always feel so much better and encouraged that I may regain full function of my hand. My occupational therapist and surgeon both are so impressed with the difference in my recovery with Cristy's therapy! I highly recommend her services!

Shauna is an expert in the field of massage therapy. While she delivers a nurturing and relaxing massage she is not short on the deep therapeutic aspects finding problematic areas of aches and pains then using skillful techniques to soothe them. I felt relaxed during and after my session and my areas of concern which she addressed skillfully felt relieved. Shauna is warm and welcoming making you feel relaxed from the moment you step into her beautiful workspace and sends you home with continued calm as well as relief of pain. She offers special add-ons like her fabulous CBD oil for extra pain relief which was wonderful. I highly recommend booking with Shauna.
I've been getting massages for over 30 years and Shasta is at the top of her game. She equals any masseuse I have had from around the globe. She is well trained in many types of massage. I typically have a sports massage which is therapeutic and keeps me from orthopedic doctors and physical therapists. I consider my monthly therapeutic massages a necessity, although I must tell you they are incredibly relaxing and stress relieving as well.
Kim is a very good therapist. She is able to find what areas need more attention and work on those areas to make the client feel better. I would recommend her.
I mean it when I say Greta has changed my life. I work in medicine, have a toddler at home and am constantly stressed. My neck has been a mess for years, and after one treatment with Greta my neck unlocked. Every treatment has been so wonderful for my body and mind. I leave feeling relaxed in every way. She is so professional and kind. Mixing acupuncture and massage is the perfect marriage for this type of work. I can't recommend this practice enough.

I started going to Level4PT because of a back injury. Dr. Thompson was wonderful. I was finally pain free. I've stayed for months for Pilates. Michelle is an amazing instructor. We never do the same workout twice. It's always challenging and fun. I have found a small community of women helping women stay healthy. It's a warm, friendly, supportive environment. My chronic back pain is gone !
Dr. Chong is the best doctor ever! Her knowledge is vast, her bedside manners are excellent, her office is full of positive energy. I have learned so much from her and I have changed the way I look at myself. If I need advice, I certainly ask Dr. Chong, she will have the right answer every single time. And most of all, she’s a happy person and her happiness is contagious.

This review is LONG overdue! I started to see Dr. Erica a few weeks after I had a miscarriage and continued to see her well throughout my next pregnancy and up until a few days before my daughter was born. Each treatment session was geared toward what stage I was in my pregnancy and to combat those uncomfortable and sometimes annoying pregnancy symptoms (i.e., headaches, nausea, heartburn, sciatica). I truly believe I had such an "easy" pregnancy because of her and my acupuncture treatments. People consistently asked me throughout my pregnancy what I was doing to support my pregnancy and I would shout from the rooftops about how vital acupuncture was to both my physical and mental health. Erica's treatments are holistic and do not just involve being poked by needles but I was also given guidance on supplements to support fertility and later pregnancy, nourishing foods, and eventually advice on how to help induce labor. I am so thankful for Be + Well and all their support this past year!

I had an amazing 90 massage with Mae, it was a perfect experience. I felt relaxed and not overly stretched. It had a little hot stone, the perfect amount of pressure, and a relaxing atmosphere- tucked away off the 101 in Encinitas. I will be back!
I'm so glad I found this place and Monica was lovely right from the start! She was able to get me in due a pretty severe flare up of back pain which I desperately needed for pain relief. She is very knowledgeable about her skill as an acupuncturist and was able to clearly explain her process in addition to other styles of acupuncture that I had previously experienced. I'm so grateful for her kind words, gentle touch and skilled service. It really did help and part of the way through I fell asleep which definitely indicates a relaxing experience! I was referred to Evelyn for a labor induction acupuncture appointment. She was very knowledgeable, professional and offers a full body session. She is very experienced with her work and understanding of your body and what it needs in the moment. She also included essential oils to help with uterus contractions/labor.I saw her on a Monday afternoon. Started having real contractions Tuesday afternoon on and off, and then my baby arrived Wednesday evening. Only 48 hours after our session!I highly recommend Evelyn for any of your acupuncture needs!
I have been seeing Lizette for over a year, and I will never go anywhere else! I also will never pay for another massage as her acupuncture combined with her other treatments make it unnecessary. Lizette is well-trained, caring, and very good at treating the whole body, mind, and soul.
