I have had, and continue to have, an amazing experience at HH. My introduction to hyperbaric treatment came about after a procedure to treat about a year's worth of chronic back pain. Alex and crew have taken what could be a mundane intervention and transformed it into a spa-like experience. I LOVE coming here! The dive itself is relaxing and afterward, you transition to the decompression space with plush zero-gravity chairs, warm face towels, and fruit-infused water. I opt for red-light therapy after my dive, and this too, is elevated with cold towels and more of that fruit-infused water. In short, Alex has created a very beautiful and zen healing space. I, and everyone around me, have noted a significant ramp-up in my recovery. I can honestly say that not only am I walking better, I am looking younger (wink), and getting the best sleep of my life. I couldn't recommend it enough!
I have been going to Anita for a few months now and she is by far the best person to ever do my eyebrows! I wish and I had before and after pictures because she has really transformed my eyebrows!! Just one introductory session with these folks completely shifted how I think about strength training. I love that the foundation of this work is rooted in a philosophy that emphasizes slowness, deep presence and muscle fatigue instead of number of reps. Their resistance training is designed to meet you wherever you're at and consistently challenge you to find the next edge. These folks really care about their craft and their culture really motivated me to give it my best -- highly recommend working with them!

After meeting several architects, engineers and construction company owners, I can honestly say Al and his team (Molly ) are a God send. We just completed our consultation and my mom ( who has been so mistreated and dismissed previously) couldn't contain her excitement about this wonderful team. They treated her with such positivity, care, kindness, professionalism. They explained everything they were doing without ever talking down to her, they worked clean, and efficiently ( thanks to their top of the line tech) and made sure to be respectful of our home as if it was their own. They made her feel comfortable and showed so much empathy for our very critical and difficult situation. I will update my review as the project continues but I just had to write a review ASAP because this team deserves so much praise!!

After my first craniosacral session, a deep and tight knot in my back left shoulder area that had been there for over 6 years was gone and hasn’t returned. One of the first words I used to describe how I felt was “fluid” in my chest, neck, and upper back areas which is really accurate to how her sessions seemed to release/move energy around in my body. It has been so much easier and interesting seeing my body respond to Amanda’s work than getting numerous massages, chiropractic sessions, and taking classes to alleviate the same issues. I’m so glad I decided to continue seeing Amanda in her 6-session program and beyond because the work she’s done has been really incredible. Her remote sessions have been just as effective as in person. I wouldn’t hesitate for anyone to see Amanda even if you aren’t experiencing pain but seek overall better health and well-being. I’m open if anyone wants to reach out with questions about my experience.
Marty Kelly is a master of photographing textiles and objects. He has documented my artwork for many years and achieves the most accurate reproduction of the subtle qualities and textures in my weavings. It is very difficult to capture and I am always so impressed with his results.
When we were ready to remodel our home, we interviewed 3 contractors with the intention of redoing our kitchen and two bathrooms down to the studs, plus additional upgrades to the rest of the house and garage. After meeting with Kevin, we decided without hesitation to go with HDR. He clearly spelled out their process and we liked their approach, a design/build firm that takes care of everything (design consultation, plans, permits, construction) -- the other contractors expected us to find and hire an architect and get the permits.
When things got underway, we had the pleasure of working with HDR’s architect, Milton, who patiently developed the plans always mindful of our wishes, making recommendations where appropriate. Once construction started, the team, led by our Project Manager, Julio, proved to be a no-nonsense outfit, staying very focused and busy throughout construction. Julio was crafty, coming up with great solutions when things seemed complicated, coordinating with the subs, trying to keep things on schedule. Not surprisingly, there were some frustrations along the way, delays with the permits, a few hiccups coordinating with subs, but HDR quickly addressed things. We also assumed they would discover some issues during construction, as our 71 yr.-old home had more than its share when we purchased it. This is where Alberto, the Production Manager, was particularly helpful. Whenever an issue arose, he stepped in and explained things clearly and made recommendations, frequently pointing to long-term benefits and efficiencies. Alberto was indispensable from beginning to end!
To sum it up, we are so happy to have hired HDR. They were responsive and skilled, from Cindy in the front office to all the guys and subs who worked hard to leave us with a beautiful end product. They did the work “the right way,” never cut corners, strictly adhered to best practices, as noted by the Berkeley inspections, and it shows! Importantly, they listened to us whenever we had a concern (another shout-out to Alberto, Julio, Milton, Kevin, and Chris!), and transformed a “funky” house into our “new,” comfortable, beautiful home! Thanks to everyone at HDR!

Kalia provided excellent hair care services. Prior to starting my loc journey, I consulted with Kalia multiple times as I was unsure. She was very patient and answered all of my questions. Since starting my Locs, Kalia has been very attentive to my hair and always making sure I know how to take care of my hair in between services. I am very grateful for her, and so is my hair!
Melanie has been doing my hair for years. She knows what I want more than I do. She is excellent with curly hair and I have referred many a happy customer to her. My 16 year old daughter is even happy with the results of her haircuts and that says a lot for a 16 yo!

Working with the ODS team of Alan, Philip, Dmitry, Carina and Toune made a potentially overwhelming process smooth and manageable - which led to a once in a lifetime, fantastic result. We love the home they designed. After helping with contractor selection, they provided high quality of service, thoughtful architectural and interior design advice, and a very high quality of build home.We did a whole house renovation, using both ODS’s architectural and interior design teams. Our house needed a lot of help on the inside and outside. The process started with giving the architects a “wish list” of what we were looking for, and with that they gave us two plans to look at. It was eye-opening to see the conceptual drawings. From there we selected a base plan that evolved as part of the design and build process. Working within our budget, ODS “value engineered” a design that gave us the look and feel we wanted while bringing down the building cost. As a result of collaborative work among ODS, our GC and us, in the end the final design and product was even better than the original concept design that we started with.What could have been better? Not much. Designing in built-in window treatments and working with ODS earlier in the process was probably one aspect that might have worked more smoothly if we went back and did it again. As an overall matter, we would not hesitate to recommend the ODS team. We absolutely love our house and nearly one year later, still remark almost daily on some aspect or design that reminds us of what a great house they were able to build.

Abante just finished a major repiping job at our 6 unit apartment building in Berkeley. They were neat, efficient and terrific craftsmen. They always left the water on at the end of the day so tenants were never without. They were practically dust free when opening plaster walls. They were diplomatic with the tenants. We worked with a T&M agreement and they came in right about where we had estimated. I don't hesitate to recommend them!

I booked this massage with my Groupon code for my birthday and I'm glad I did! I'm a law student who is very stressed and sits in front of a lap most of the day and I could feel the impacts of both of those on my body. I was searching for places that did full body massages but weren't asking for a ridiculous amount of money because like I said I'm in grad school. I wanted a female masseuse and after looking through her reviews on Google and about page I decided to book. I'm glad I did. you can choose your pressure levels and hands off areas which I appreciated! the hot stones were my favorite part! I did pressure 3 on 1-5 scale but I think I'd go down one level next time. I would recommend doing some light stretching before your massage. I did the 90 minute Swedish and deep pressure and paid a little over $120. the suite was nice and its located in a building with other suites for hairstylists, barbers, nail techs, waxing, etc.

Excellent customer service. Mohamed is a friendly guy and there were no problems. He isn't one of those mobile notaries so you have to go to his place but then you don't have to pay another $50-75 for a travel fee. As advertised. I would recommend him.

The interaction with Dr. Strohl was great. He provided suggestions on my diagnosis with a treatment plan that is hopeful. The only drawback was not his fault, apparently we were having some technical difficulties connecting our telegraph session in the beginning but resolved with an old school phone call.

I went months without a haircut after a bad experience and today I decided to give Wendy at New Florence a try and I'm so glad I did!! She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for. I feel like during the wash and prep prior to cutting, Wendy got to know my hair and how to work with it. Wendy took her time and was very meticulous. 5/5 I would definitely recommend Wendy and am already looking forward to going back to her! And not to mention the salon is super cute filled with plants and natural lighting!
