“I've been meaning to do a post about Top Knot Flooring in Walnut Creek. They are owned and operated by a wonderful man named Mike. Mike did an incredibly thorough review of the proposed job to ensure the accuracy of his detailed estimate. They recently installed luxury vinyl plank floors in about 1200 sq. ft. of our home, and they did a phenomenal job!! Mike's crew had to replace all the underlying plywood and clean up a terrible mess left by the prior contractor who had done ceramic tile for us. Top Knot finished in a week and Mike's team worked tirelessly and carefully. They did their best to clean up at the end of each work day and carefully helped us move all our stuff back inside. They even helped us put felt pads on the bottom of furniture that could potentially scratch the floors. We felt their work product was a great value for the money we spent and are very happy with how everything turned out. I can't say enough good things about them!!“

I worked with Jim Marshall for the first time during a remodel of our home years ago and he was super helpful when it came to picking out carpeting for our house. The carpeting still looks great 8 years on, they sell good quality products. We more recently bought a rug pad from him and I realized that I had given him the wrong measurements once I got it home. “Darold and his crew were fantastic. We have had many floor companies over the years work on our office and Darold went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We were able to quickly pick out a perfect floor to use in our office from his large selection.During install they took pre pictures of the office to make sure we were ready to re-open on monday and everything was put back in its place. They worked within our strict weekend time constraint without any issues. The crew were all so welcoming and did a fantastic job. They tarped EVERYTHING so there was no excess dirt and dust. They repainted baseboards and walls so the office looked even better than how they found it. I was SO IMPRESSED. We will definitely be using them again because not only did they do a wonderful job but the customer service was TOP NOTCH.Pricing was also fair and honest and a great value for what they provide.“

“Patrick Wharton, owner of Better Building Repairs, did an absolutely AMAZING job on remodeling our two bathrooms in the last year. We liked his work so much we then hired him to remodel our kitchen which was recently completed. Patrick is very experienced with over 25 years as a general contractor. He does not even need to advertise any more since he gets almost all his jobs by word-of-mouth recommendations from very satisfied customers such as us. Not only is he very qualified and knowledgeable, I could not possibly ask for a more passionate and enthusiastic contractor to enter my home. His team always showed up on time, did quality work, cleaned up well after each day's activities and really listened to our concerns and questions. “In the past 12 years, we have gradually replaced all the flooring in our house. We have worked with 3 different companies and Conklin Bros in Dublin have been the best. We were turning a bonus room used as an office/ laundry room into 2 separate rooms.I had something very specific in mind and when I didn't see what I wanted in the showroom, our sales person, Rene Pearson went digging in the back storeroom and came up with 4 options. I took the samples home and found one was exactly what we wanted.Rene worked with our contractor to arrange installation.The installers arrived at the time promised and worked steadily all day to remove the old vinyl and carpet and install the LVT flooring. They gave us some options for the transitions into the family room and furnace closet and called our contractor to work out the tricky transition to the garage. “Searching for a remnant of a no longer popular granite was frustrating. I called more than a couple dozen fabricators and granite suppliers. It was surprising how many who answered knew their remnant inventory by memory - I had the impression few wanted to bother to actually see what they had. When Jogreet answered my call at IRG, she said she would check and call back. Have you heard that before??? Well, she did and found a damaged piece of granite in the type I needed.My husband checked out the granite a couple days later after Jogreet arranged to have it moved to the Dublin location. It was going to work and there was enough unblemished granite to do the repair.Kudos to Jogreet for exemplifying what quality customer service looks like. We will be happy to recommend IRG to anyone we know seeking natural stone. BTW - We peeked around the inventory and the selection was inspiring!“

“Bojan's team completed and install for us last week of material we purchased from LL Flooring. This was the 3rd (and last :-) stage of hardwood flooring install for our house... and the 3rd install team.Wish we'd have found them earlier. They were far the best and most professional of the installers we've experienced. The quality was superior, the clean up and care with which they worked on-site was excellent... AND they completed the job early without any shortcuts.I can't recommend them enough“

“Had a small (250 sq ft) kitchen and laundry room laminate floor replaced due to water damage with new LVT (luxury vinyl tile - looks like stone) through Costco. The bid was about the same as others we got but less when the Costco discounts were applied. The old laminate material (25 yrs) was made from wood so a large spill seeped into the seams and caused it to swell, lifting the edges. Other than that the old floor was still in great shape (too bad I had to replace it). The new material is waterproof so we won't have that problem again. The top layer has ground stone I was told so harder than the old material. They ran out of the product we wanted so we had to wait a month but it did come back in stocks. Salesperson was good (Zach) and installers were great (Hector & Pedro) - easy to work with, and did a quality job. It took 2 days since my small kitchen hand a lot of little nooks, which took extra time to fit the flooring. I had to do actual work disconnecting dishwasher and removing partitions between washer & dryer and Hector was good to work with. Hector has 7 years of experience so he has seen many problems and knows how to deal with them. He and his helper moved the appliances and some furniture carefully. They removed and replaced the baseboard carefully so I didn't have much touchup painting to do at all. The were even able to reuse the matching cabinet 1/4 round floor trim pieces. The jobsite was left clean. There can always be problems/issue/STRESS with remodeling of any kind and this one was a smooth transaction overall.“
