“The staff at purple paws is incredible! My 10 year old cat was extremely sick and they were able to take her in right away, even as a new patient. Dr. Tugend saved her life. We're three weeks out from treatment now and she is 100% better and it's like she was never sick. They're fairly priced and very knowledgeable. I'm so grateful for everyone at Purple Paws and because of them my cat is still alive and well.“
“I moved my 2/3 pug 1/3 pittie-boxer foster fail love bug (Juan Pablo) from Camp-Run-A-Mutt to Paw Commons for doggy daycare.
Paw Commons has by far been the better experience for our pup. First, there is way more space, a great water feature where the dogs who want to get wet can frolic, and there are way fewer dogs (or simply just way more space for them).
My pup stopped wanting to get out of the car at the former place where at Paw Commons, he is super excited to go and jumps happily out of the car when we arrive.
This speaks volumes of the difference in experience he had. The humans at both places are professional and kind, it just seems like the dogs have a little more room to play, jump up on various things, hide under things and of course engage in water play if they want. 10/10. The owner of Paw Commons is very passionate about providing an amazing experience for the dogs. Perhaps something about being a franchise like Camp-Run-A-Mutt they need to get as many dogs as possible crammed in on any given day.
Attached is a screenshot from the live cam where JP was walking precariously close to the water (which he generally hates, lol) and a pic of our very happy, tired boy when he got home.“
“Grant with Noble Dog Training is very professional, patient and knowledgeable. He is willing to work with clients where they are at, time and lifestyle wise to get the best results possible under those circumstance. He is worth every penny…I highly recommend him and his program.“
“I took my 9-month-old puppy to Ricky at Man-K9 - San Diego Dog Training, and the experience was amazing! Ricky is incredibly knowledgeable and fixed my dog's pulling on walks in just five minutes. I highly recommend him for anyone needing expert dog training. Thank you, Ricky!“
“This is hands down the best doggy day care and overnight boarding in San Diego. Our 2 rescue pups have come here several times over the last few years, for as long as 6 nights, and every time I’m blown away by the level of care provided.
One of our dogs is super friendly, while the other is much more shy and still getting used to strangers and other dogs. Our shy dog needs to be with her sister at all times, and isn’t always the best at communicating her feelings - and Dog Days always provides us with thorough updates on how she’s doing and accommodates her little quirks (like needing to be in the small dog area despite being 50 pounds, ha) to make sure she’s doing well & that all the other dogs are comfortable too.
We’ve also used their transportation drop off service, and there was a hiccup once where our shy dog was having some barrier aggression when getting into the van. Rather than throwing their hands up and asking us to come get her, DD gave her and her sister a PRIVATE ride home - we were obviously a bit mortified but so relieved that DD handled the situation so well for all dogs involved. They gave us a robust rundown of the situation and recommendations for how to handle similar issues in the future.
And whenever we call to check in as anxious dog parents, they always give us detailed notes on their behavior and health as well. We also love that they have extracurriculars for the dogs, like hiking outings, too!
Dog Days is truly the most professional level of dog care you can get in San Diego - and while the rates do reflect that, it’s absolutely worth the peace of mind. Ziggy and Nova say thank you!!“
“Great friendly, and welcoming trainers! The owner and staff really showed the care and love with what they do. The results I got back were Fantastic!“
“We are multiple repeat customers. Kari has given our Newfoundland (Masha) a second home when needed, whether for a few hours or days at a time. I have confidence that Masha's care is sound and her environment is extraordinary. She has plenty of room and stimulation both inside and outside. When we arrive, Masha is excited to see Kari and eager to start play with her and her dog. Our only disappointment has been those times that Kari was full and we have had to look elsewhere.“
“Teaming up with Gonzalo has been the best decision we ever made for Bailey. My wife and I first came across the Human Dog Team when we were looking for more advanced training. We initially had a different trainer that helped prepare us get through the puppy phase with Bailey (9 weeks to 6 months). However, once the basic puppy obedience training was complete, we were looking for something a bit more substantial as we quickly observed Bailey was capable of so much more.
We began our search with the idea that we need to find an adult dog trainer. Someone who can help us better train Bailey to be a confident dog especially as we lived in a busier urban area. We narrowed down our search to a few different trainers, but eventually we went with Gonzalo and have been working with him for over 2 years now. Our mindset with dog training has completely changed since working with Gonzalo.
My wife and I wanted to find a dog trainer and we found so much more. Gonzalo challenged us to believe in a world beyond a well trained dog. He inspired us to value the unique personality Bailey has and how our relationship with her can be one of companionship and team based. We came into training thinking that a well trained dog that does everything you ask of it is all you could ask for. Now, I will admit Bailey is well behaved and responds quickly and eagerly to anything we ask. But our relationship with Bailey is forever changed. My wife and I are always considering how Bailey is feeling and what needs or desires she may have and how that is factoring into each moment.
Gonzalo was the one that taught us what it truly means to be successful and have a team approach with Bailey. She is always so excited to try new things with Gonzalo and continuously grow and show off her sharp mind. More importantly, Gonzalo was able to share his techniques regarding his teaching philosophy with us. My wife and I implement those teachings in everything we do with Bailey and the end result has been nothing short of amazing.
Gonzalo will take the time to get to know you, your dog, and what relationship you currently have and what you want to have in the future. His process is tailored to what will work best for you and your dog. I have no hesitations in recommending Gonzalo to anyone looking to improve their relationship with their dog. There are plenty of trainers that can get your dog to mindlessly do basic commands. But there are only a few, from what we have seen, that care about the deep relationship and potential that you and your dog have as a team. Gonzalo will take your relationship with your dog to the next level if you work with him.
Plus Gonzalo's husky, Blue, is such a great companion for your dog when you are working on socializing and creating/maintaining space in a safe way. Bailey and Blue are inseparable when they are together. Thank you Gonzalo!!“
“I started bringing my pups to Pupper Club and love their daycare for my little one. I also started grooming services and she looks adorable. 5 Stars! Love Pupper Club!“
“We just started his program and my problem fur baby is already turning into a gentleman. David is a lover of animals and is very old school in his ways but they are very effective especially with large aggressive dogs. Super excited to learn more and get my baby the help he needs.“
“Amazing dog daycare! We used their daycare as well as their overnight boarding. Our dog LOVED coming here. They are kind and clearly care about each pup. The cameras are nice to have, and they even give the cutest pictures at Christmas and Halloween. They have reasonable prices and lots of love!“
“I received my stabilty service dog Denny last June. Isabelle trained him and he is 100 % perfect. He can dial 911 for me, I couldn’t walk alone for 2 years until I got Denny. Now because he is so perfectly trained I’m getting lots of walking exercise which is very great for my health. I’m going to recommend Isabelle’s dog training service to everyone I know or meet in need of a service dog. I can promise them that they will get the best trained dogs from Isabelle’s company. Her trainers train the most intelligent loving devoted service dogs I’ve ever known. I’m blessed to have received my perfect devoted Beloved dog from Isabelle.“
“If you want to say that your dog really is your best friend then Woof! Dog Training is the way to go. Woof!'s owner/trainer Erin uses the positive reinforcement technique in her every day training to allow four-legged friends and humans to a develop long lasting, healthy relationship.I adopted my little female terrier/chihuahua mix, Cheerio a little over a year ago and I must say I got lucky with the fact that she was already house broken. But dog ownership doesn't just start and end with taking your furry creature out to potty.Unlike other dog training methods out there that emphasizes on the master and pet theory, Woof! teaches you how to live harmoniously with your dog. Cheerio is a loving pet, however, she is sometimes too loving and wants to be the center of attention. Woof! taught myself and my pet that it isn't about making your dog listen to you but rather rewarding them for positive behaviors that they do. Instead of yelling at them because they had an accident or won't sit still is counterproductive and was clear after our first class. Cheerio responds a lot better to "hey, if you sit, you get a treat" rather than "you're not getting a treat because you are barking." Think about it, when you were in school, did you yourself respond better when the teacher punished you?Erin works with your pace and with what you feel you need to focus on with your pup. Every week Erin asks how the week went with the new behavior your furry friend was taught and from there you can decide if you want to work on the behavior more or move on to the next one. What I love most about Erin and Woof! is that it's not just a cookie cutter class. Erin takes her time and really gets to know you, your pup and what you feel you need to work on. And she approaches it in a way that you are not intimidated. She's not there to train your dog only, she's there to train you as well.So if you want to have well behaved pets, as your pet would like a well behaved human, bark at Woof!“
“Amazing and trustworthy pat care run by reliable and very kind people ❤️ strongly recommend their services ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Whether you make a phone call or walk through the front door it's immediately evident that everyone at RSCPC is there to help your furry friend. The staff at the front desk, the doctors, the techs and everyone behind the scenes truly work to give my dogs the best care. They take the time to explain everything I need to know about procedures and medications - and they make a point of getting to know my dogs' specific personalities and needs. Thank you Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic!“
“It was quiet for a Friday night, but had a lot of potential to be a great hangout spot. Food options are limited to fried food and some of the beers ran out on their taps. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends as they have TVs at every direction and plenty of tabletop games to enjoy. Plus the amount of dogs that are there was very enjoyable to watch as a non-dog owner.“
“After a few months of consistent daycare and a boarding stay, I can confidently say I would recommend Fon Jon to anyone and everyone who needs a place for their furry friends to have some fun. My dogs are always, always happy when we arrive even a block away and are happy as a clam during pick ups too. Being a helicopter mom with rescues, I tried four different highly recommended facilities here in San Diego as well (gotta see them all to find that perfect fit!!) and my dogs truly made the decision for me. I was worried because this is an indoor and outdoor kennel facility and being rescues, you never know how they will respond being back in a place like that but you can tell right away it's nowhere near the same type of an environment & the staff really does care and I see it every single time I'm there! Anthony, Ed, George and Minah are always so loving with every furry friend that comes through and so are the rest of the staff when I see them for pick ups! Being such a high volume facility for a small local business, I just ADORE that they make each dog feel loved and cared for and like a true VIP! That makes the BIGGEST difference (to me). I do advise everyone to shop around and make sure you are exploring all your options because everyone's going to have specific wants and every place really does have something unique to offer, but I can truly see why Fon Jon has been a staple for SO LONG in the industry and San Diego!!!! PROS * Pricing is great for the area & compared to other facilities I visited (especially since they offer a wider variety of play packages - boarding and daycare is a luxury of course so finding reasonable pricing is a push and shove) * They have options for one of my dogs who is not dog friendly so he still gets play time (I've heard his human best friend is Andrea) * Staff is always friendly and inviting * They supply almost everything for boarding so it eases my load (even dog food if needed) * They are VERY thorough with the check in process (sometimes a con if I'm in a rush but overall very important to me personally haha) * Offers cat daycare and boarding too!! * Kind of a 2 in 1 if you need training since they offer training services too - haven't used these yet but have heard good things * I can get basic grooming done here if needed so it's a one stop shop CONS * Wish they had a live cam but Staff had very understandable and reasonable explanations for not having so * LOTS of paperwork and less digital filing or portals but I'm ok with that (haven't had any issues so far) and appreciate the thoroughness more often than not * Not as modern as other places but aesthetics are the least of my concerns if my dogs are happy * Parking... but only bad if you come during peak pick up/drop off times * Really want more activity on social media!! ): OVERALL : 9.5/10 Thank you For Jon!!“
“AMAZING, dog-loving people you'll ever encounter. I had one of the owners dog sit many years ago when she was starting and I needed their help again. They no longer over night visits but Carlee was so kind enough to reach out to someone who she trusts so that my dog and my cat will be taken care of. They also watched my dogs when I'd go the the LJ Farmers market. Wonderful service. I highly recommend you give them a try. Thank you for everything!“
“Vincent and Shirine are incredible!!! After our travel plans changed they were more than happy to accommodate our furbaby Ragnar True animal lovers that are always willing to help. We will absolutely be back. Definitely recommend to you all ? !!!!“

“I love how attentive coastal canine is to all of their fur babies. There's plenty of fun things for them to do and Kayla is very good hearted and loving towards all animals. This is a place I would trust and support above all others. highly recommended.“
“Laura was fantastic with our fur baby- Finnegan! She communicated with reassuring videos and texts. Highly recommend and I will
