I notice myself remembering advice given to me during Aikido class that came in handy at my workplace, with my interpersonal relationships, and much more.I can't say enough about Aikido of Alamo, but practicing something where so often I find myself lost for words, seems pretty darn valuable to me. “A few years ago, I really wanted to learn Wing Chun and decided to sign up for beginner classes, which was located at the Holly Community Center at the time (Kennedy was closed for renovation). It was Tuesday and Thursday nights, which was perfect after work. On my first day, I was greeted by Sifu Steve, who was my primary instructor. He was great, always patient, made sure I understood the basics, and was easy to get along with. Sifu Alson taught the advanced class at the other end of the room, but popped in every now and then to see how we were doing and show us some cool moves. If you're an introvert like me, it isn't easy jumping into a martial arts class when most of the students have been there for some time and are regulars, but it was a friendly, welcoming environment and I got comfortable in no time. Most of my class were kids, so I often laughed with them. It was fun... hopefully they continue to have classes in the future so I can drop by. Wing Chun is awesome.“

“Both my kids and I were with the studio for about five years total. My kids were 8 and 3.5 when they started. 3.5 was probably too young. They have a large team of instructors, all of them dedicated, each of his or her own strengths. You learn much from each of the instructors, and I think they complement each other's strengths. They set high standards and expect an effort, which is one of the things we liked. They care passionately about teaching the students. Again, they will expect you to put in an effort, and reward you by teaching you a lot, and providing excellent exercise.“
“All good points are given by other reviewers. I want to mention that he doesn’t scream or give punishment to students whereas other masters are following hitting the kids. Even the most non disciplined children I have seen performing well (little help from parents too). The whole management is amazing. There is none in the vicinity that gives flexibility to come all 5 days week in this much price.“

“All American Black Belt Academy (AABBA) is by far the best dojo my kids have been associated with. When we moved to San Ramon, we researched area karate schools and decided to try AABBA. Let's just say there are no regrets in choosing AABBA. The instructors/senseis are amazing and very attentive to their progress in each belt level. AABBA has built so much confidence in my 2 kids. My daughter has won numerous gold metals under the senseis leadership in the elite team. If you're looking for a karate school, AABBA is a must try.“
