I am posting the following information in hopes that as many dog owners as possible will benefit.... I have no experience with the doctors or staff at Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital and assume they are outstanding. I do have experience with CALIFORNIA VETERINARY SPECIALISTS IN CARLSBAD that I hope other dog owners will find useful. The doctors and staff at that facility are knowledgeable, caring, and professional. Dr. Ogilvie is no exception. His knowledge of oncologic disorders and ability to relate it to his patients are outstanding; he is kind and caring. We recently moved to Carlsbad from San Jose. We made an appt with Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital soon after we arrived and the staff could not have been more helpful and took the time to help me identify the best place to get food for my dog. We went to VEG on a Saturday which was recommended by BRPH thank goodness we made it there just in time. We had already set up an appt at BRPH for the following week. The waiting area is large and clean. This made our little dog more comfortable than any other office we have visited in her 16 years. We met Dr Lax after a brief wait. I've been with Dr. Lax for 10+ years for 4 different dogs. He has 40+ years of experience as a veterinarian and has worked on every animal imaginable - from crocodiles to donkeys. Most importantly, I trust Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital to guide me towards making rational and compassionate decisions on behalf of my pets.
