“For our bathroom project, we needed an older Jacuzzi tub/shower replaced with a big walk-in shower, to match the existing counters, flooring and cabinetry which had been remodeled a couple of years prior. I was especially impressed with the magnificent tiling job performed by MBK's Jaime Velasco, in response to our request. Not only was all of the wall design beautifully tiled, he fashioned special shelving, niches, and a bench, using wonderful craftmanship. In addition, the project was especially well-managed by Mike Moore, who was there every single day ensuring progress and coordination among the various subs. He was tireless and accommodating for the entire span of the construction, never losing his patience and good humor, as well as providing fine-tuning in several cases for finish carpentry, electrical oversight, and --especially--keeping the existing cabinetry, etc., as well as the rest of our house free of dust. “Øn 2/23/24 Vale Rodriguez of Baynes Roofing came to repair the leak around the chimney located on the roof of my 2 story home. Vali was very polite and showed exceptional customer service. He answered all my questions about the leak around the chimney. He finished the repair and all work was done professional. Baynes Roofing should hire more employees like Vale as he reflects great customer service in doing a very good job repairing the leak around the chimney. “I interviewed several contractors for our primary bathroom remodel, and I am so thrilled with the final result we received from Real Deal. Note- they do full remodeling not just cabinets. Also- I looked at tons of reviews before hiring them and any negative reviews I saw were several years old with apparently a different owner. We had an amazing experience!
Quality- I am a pretty particular customer as I am in a visual design adjacent field myself. I was very happy with everything!! My expectations were exceeded in our final result. Not only did the team execute very well, but Valerie and Eric had input from start to finish that was very valuable and practical. Small details on projects really matter and I really appreciated that they confirmed them and worked them with me when I had questions. They never steered us wrong!! Their subs were great, you can tell they all work together a lot and have a great rapport, which I really appreciated.

Ethics/fair- There were some old DIY mistakes from a past owner they discovered during demo on our job, and they took great care to make sure things were fixed correctly to be up to code and operating well, not just that they looked pretty. They did not upcharge/change order us on these things, and when we asked to add things to the scope of work, the charges seemed fair to us. As a fellow business owner I really appreciated the straightforward and fair treatment and can tell they run things well.

Cost- The most transparent itemized bid and most fair pricing (again I interviewed several companies). Based on our experience I think we got an excellent job for what we paid!!

“I recently contracted Pacific Concrete to build the concrete decking around our new pool, which was in the process of being built. Our pool company referred us to PC and after getting a couple of other quotes, I ultimately decided to go with PC because their professionalism and the fact that they’d worked with our pool company on multiple jobs. They finished our decking a couple of weeks ago and I’m beyond pleased with the results. The quote and sales process, which was handled by Justin, was timely, professional, and thorough. Justin listened to what we wanted in terms of design and aesthetic, gave us a few options in terms of color and finish, and had a solution to some of the more tricky issues we had to deal with (such as eliminating a sump pump and replacing it with a French drain). The construction process was also handled professionally and as timely as possible. The crew lost several weeks of work time due to the crazy rains in San Diego in February \\u0026 March, but Brandon, Juan, and the rest of the team was there to work and get as much done as they could on the days the weather cooperated. A few other things stand out from my experience with PC. During the construction phase and prior to the pour, I wanted to make sure the areas that were free of concrete weren’t land-locked in terms of having water and electrical sources for future irrigation and landscape lighting. A five min conversation with Brandon led to them adding conduit and irrigation tubes and re-routing some of the water sources in our backyard to make sure we were covered. There was a minimal charge, but I really appreciated Brandon listening to my request and working with me to find a solution. Also, special shout to the detail that went into capping off a few steps in our layout to match the pool coping/finish (see photos). Overall I’m super pleased with the end result and experience working with Pacific Concrete. I’ve already asked them to come back and give a quote for phase II of our project to demo the existing fence and put in a retaining wall. Look forward to working with them again soon.“

“We interviewed four contractors for the remodel of our Rancho Santa Fe casita. Both of us were impressed with Fred from the start, making our choice easy. He came across as friendly, knowledgeable, articulate and responsive. Over the course of the project, our confidence in him just continued to grow. He was always accessible and never once made a promise he didn’t keep. We ran into a lot of bumps along the way, mainly due to post Covid supply line issues. Through no fault of Fred’s, the project took over two years to complete. One vendor in particular caused a one-year delay. “REMOCA just completed repairing our downstairs bathroom and we thought we would share our positive experience working with Leo and his team.Our bathroom had experienced a previous water leak which had been repaired but the bathroom walls and door needed repair. The door wouldn’t shut and the wall near the toilet had seen better days.I made a call to Leo at REMOCA to see if their company could repair the walls or if he would recommend a full bathroom remodel. “We contracted with Price Builders last year to build a Granny Flat (~800 sq ft) located on the side and front of our property. We had used a designer/architect from another firm who made the initial drawings. We met with to several builders to get preliminary estimates for duration and price of the build. We are so very happy we selected Leo at Price Builders! Leo and Einat were able to resolve some of the “other” designer's mistakes and redesigned the bathroom to use the limited space much better. The job was built on time and on budget. Communication was excellent. We knew what was going to happen on each day, and we were informed when the schedule needed to shift for some reason, and we never felt adrift. Leo's team installed ducted mini-split heating & A/C instead of wall units, he designed foundational stem walls instead of us needing to install a separate retaining wall (as specified on pre-Leo plans) with saved us space and money. Leo redesigned the windows using taller windows to take better advantage of our high ceilings and numerous other great suggestions.We highly recommend Price Builders - we only wish we had initiated contact with them earlier and saved the time and expense of the previous designer/architect.
