“We recently moved into our home and encountered a sewer drain clog within weeks which was especially stressful. We called out a plumbing company recommended to us who said we had root intrusion and advised breaking into our bedroom floor or tunneling under the house and repairing the pipe. “A few weeks ago, I was in a bind. The plumbing company from whom I had purchased my tankless water heater came by to service my system because it was taking longer than usual to get hot water. They told me that the fittings on my water heater as well as the recirculating pump inside the system needed to be replaced. They quoted me a fairly large number for the repairs, which hit me hard because I had recently had a series of other major expenses. Now, despite having been a loyal customer of this company for many years, I had been through a bad experience with them in the previous year. As a result, my trust in them had greatly diminished. I therefore decided to contact a tankless specialist for a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did. I was referred to SoCal Tankless, so I gave them a call and they sent Eric out to my house. The minute Eric started inspecting the system, I knew I was dealing with someone that was a true expert in the technology. He knew the system inside and out. The first thing he told me was that the fittings and the pump were fine. He then went on to tell me that something odd was going on with my heat exchanger, however, and he was not sure that it was functioning properly. He wanted a second opinion, so he called the manufacturer, and using an app, he shared live video with them as they chatted. The manufacturer told him the heat exchanger, which was still under warranty, was indeed defective. Then the manufacturer offered me a brand new system! All I had to do was pay for installation, which I gladly agreed to because it was fraction of the cost that had been quoted me by the original installer. I have SoCal Tankless to thank for all this. I can't say enough good things about them. From here on, nobody touches my tankless except SoCal Tankless. As for the original plumber, I sent them packing, and all my future plumbing needs other than the tankless will be handled Shaffer Plumbing, another five star operation.“
