I've been going to Comb Together Hair Studio for the past few months, and it has quickly become my go-to place. Alessandro is my barber, and he nails the cut every time. He’s incredibly meticulous and makes sure we’re both on the same page about what I want, tailoring the experience to my needs.
What really stands out to me is the inclusive philosophy behind the studio. Alessandro told me, 'I wanted to make a studio where regardless of your sex, gender, age, etc., you could come and get whatever you want done.' That message of inclusion is something I truly admire—it makes a real difference in people's lives.

Sooyeon, Anna, and Nancy I think their name did my wedding party the wedding in San Jose. We had 9 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 2 sisters, a groom, and me who is the bride. they finished us in only 4 hours, no rush. The makeup, and hair last til midnight. Jenn is professional, highly skilled and talented, relevant, and highly experienced; on top of which she is a very thoughtful and kind person!! I always look forward to my hair appointment at Haus Hiraya. The salon has a positive and bright energy about it. All of Jenn's fellow stylists in the salon are also professional, courteous, and talented. They seem to get along really well which gives the salon a happy feel to it. I recently went to Salon 1419 for an urgent color correction after a disastrous experience at another salon and I cannot express how grateful I am for Sameh, the owner. He did an amazing job turning a bad situation into hair I could feel confident with.
As background, I've had a balayage done before two years ago at a mid-tier salon in Virginia. Since then, I've had focused babylights done at a more convenient local salon in Virginia, where I've never had any issues with this approach to updating my balayage.
Despite showing a reference photo (attached below), the other salon ended up doing babylights all over my head in a mix of blonde and caramel—far from the subtle, focused babylights and face-framing money pieces I requested. About 30 minutes into the service, I had a feeling that something was off, but I didn't speak up. Unfortunately, the end result was very far from what I had envisioned.
Sameh at Salon 1419 listened carefully, took the time to understand my concerns, and worked his magic. He strategically covered the excessive blonde babylights and blended the colors beautifully, restoring my hair as much as possible in one session.
I’m extremely happy with the results and will definitely be back to see Sameh for future color services. His professionalism, skill, and care saved me from a stressful situation, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for expert color services.
My almost 9 year old had an amazing experience with Karina! It was my daughter's first salon haircut since I've been cutting her hair at home. Karina was amazingly sweet and warm. She checked in with my daughter many times to make sure she was feeling comfortable, and explained every step of the process to her. She gave her a beautiful haircut and took the time to make sure it looked perfect. At the end my daughter gave her a huge hug and told her she was the best, which really surprised me because she doesn't typically do that. Thank you Karina for making her first professional haircut such a special and fun experience. We will definitely be back!

Eddy has been my barber for over a year now and has really shown how versatile he is as a barber. I've asked for his help with hair styles from anywhere in between a Viking-style haircut with high fade on the sides and a man bun in the back to your classic low fade crew cut. He does it all. He and the barbers in his shop are also some of the friendliest people I've met. Don't forget to grab a few candies while you wait for your appointment.

I have been to many spray tan salons in the past , both here in California and in other states.. Natural Bronzing Burlingame is by far the best quality spray tan I have ever received . The spray techs are skilled and the results are natural and lasting . Highly recommend.
The staff at Tamika Nails always took great care of us. Had a great experience, I got a manicure done and it came out perfect. The store is clean and well organized and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves including the technicians. Staff is always very nice and polite.

Donna did such an amazing job with my nails! Last weekend was my graduation and I wanted to get at least my pedicure done before hand. I only had an hour before another appointment and Donna was able to see me within 15 minutes of asking if she had an opening. When I was in her chair she realized I didn't have my hands done either, she was able to work around my tight schedule and make sure that I had both my manicure and pedicure done for my special day! Donna went above and beyond to make sure I felt good going into my graduation weekend with getting the exact set I wanted.

I had a prenatal massage scheduled today and unfortunately didn't know there was a street festival also happening at the same time so Burlingame Ave and some side streets were closed which made parking SO hard to find. I called to let them know I was struggling with finding parking and would be late and they were super understanding. I ended up being 20 minutes late and they still took me and gave me the full hour. I had the best prenatal massage with Jan and the woman at the front desk was so friendly and kind. I felt really relaxed and comfortable and will definitely be going back.
I've been a long term client of Jennifer's ... ten plus years ... My skin has never been better. I'm told I don't look my age :P ... but what I appreciate most is the healing effects of the treatment. I hurt my knee a few years ago and for years it hurt at a point ... after a few sessions with her the pain went away and if you ask me now I won't be able to say which knee had the injury.

I get tons of compliments, I was very nervous as we all know that some lashes get a bit extreme, I trusted her and they always looked natural and beautiful. She just gave me my first facial at her studio and it was luxurious and my skin looks amazing. She has been doing this for 25 years and I can tell. So relaxing ... this mama really needed it! I cannot recommend her more than 5 stars, but she is really a 10!!!

Dannels Electric is the very best electricians I've ever worked with! In fact, they are the best of any contractors I've ever worked with. Not only do these guys do an impeccable job, they are also on the cutting edge of technology and on top of all of that they are honest, good people. We found Bath Planet Norcal through Home Depot and ordered a bathtub/shower and wall surround for our rental unit. Alysia came to see our unit and was very helpful in providing us with information, options, and different designs. She showed a new tile color that we immediately responded to even though we were told it would take about 4-6 weeks to receive. We were willing to wait and, unfortunately, we learned 2-3 mos later that it was still not available. As a result, we had to choose basic white to speed up the process since our project was already delayed and needed to change our contractors' schedules at the last minute. Darwin, the project manager, was most helpful in speeding up the order and was most attentive to our needs throughout this project and was a great communicator. He responded to our emails, text, and questions efficiently and took care of any issue or concern we addressed. He was always reassuring and followed through on his promises. When permits were ordered and inspectors were scheduled anytime during a 3-4 hour period, he was always on time, willing to wait as long as necessary, and gave us their positive feedback when all done. We highly recommend Darwin to anyone hiring this company for a project. I would also like to complement Luis on a job well done! He replaced the framing, plumbing, fixtures, bathtub/shower, and wall surround in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. He always cleaned up after himself and it was a pleasure working with him and his employer. The bathroom looks 100% nicer and we are very pleased with the outcome.

Several years ago, I had used another tree service company to remove some trees in the back yard and grind the stumps down below the surface. A few months afterwards, I used Thomas Allen tree service to remove a tree in the front yard. At the time, Thomas provided excellent value and service. He was responsive to my request for an estimate, on time, ready to start work immediately, and gave a very reasonable quote. I was extremely satisfied with Thomas' work on my front yard tree so when one of the tree stumps in the back yard that was supposed to be killed began to recently grow back I knew who to call. Again, Thomas was responsive, on time, available to start work when I needed, and provided reasonable pricing. I discovered Dr. Danli back in 2020 during the peak of Covid and my first pregnancy. Dr danli is a friend now and she always takes the time to listen to you and your concerns and finds ways to help you from the bottom of her heart! She spends an hour through the entire process and it almost feels like a massage that resets me for weeks after! She’s Webster certified so great for pregnant moms, and also supported my husband through his disk and shoulder issues! She’s flexible, communicative and always has the best anecdotes with the most positive energy to share!

Rich is extremely knowledgeable, caring and professional. I've seen him about a handful of times regarding an upper back/shoulder issue that I was dealing with for multiple weeks. Within a couple of sessions, I can happily say that the pain has gone away. WE LOVE Camino Real Pet Clinic! All their staff is kind, attentive and caring. We were recommended last year around November to this clinic by my pup's groomer after she found some of Butter's rotten teeth that needed to take care of. Of all the clinics that I called, Camino Real was the most attentive one. They actually care about your pet. Dr. Ten, Butter's vet, made sure to check up fully on Butter and had all the necessary lab works before the procedure. Dr. Ten explained to me what to expect and kept me informed all the time on the day of the procedure. Though Butter needed to have more teeth extracted than originally planned, Dr. Ten only charged us for her hours, not per tooth. Thus, I'm so grateful to Dr. Ten and Camino Real Pet Clinic for their reasonable charge and superb service!

The clinic is a quaint historical house and it has a small parking lot in the back and along its side and one spot in the front. It can accommodate up to 5 cars, I believe. I've never had problem finding parking here.

The practice is (pleasantly) busy with professional and friendly staff who handle what could be total chaos with great organization, good spirits, and positivity. We recently had reason to see Dr. West for an urgent situation and he was excellent as well. It's such a great comfort to me to have a veterinary practice so close to home that I can rely on with confidence and know that not only is my dog going to be treated by professionals and experts, but that I am also going to be treated kindly and professionally. I greatly appreciate all the hard work that goes into making a practice successful and heartily recommend Burlingame Family Pet Hospital.
Clean. On-time. Polite. Careful. Good listeners. Miguel did a terrific job with our 60 lb golden doodle. And exactly the kind of cut we wanted. Also - the dog was calm when we picked him up -- a sure sign that he had been handled well.
This was my yo Brussels Griffon’s very first grooming experience and I am beyond happy with the results! My groomer was very patient and kind. I will definitely recommend and re-book with him on a regular basis. He also bathed our 8 yo French Bulldog and she looks great too :-)

I've been going to Dena monthly for quite a while now. I have a chronic muscular condition and am prone to migraines.Since seeing Dena regularly, I've noticed a decrease in the frequency of muscle spasms, reduced pain in general, and generally my body feels more relaxed. I don't remember when I last had a migraine!I'm very particular about any kind of bodywork and feel very fortunate to have found Dena's practice. So relaxing - I highly recommend the lymphatic drainage massage! A little tricky to find but the space is cute. She is very communicative throughout the process with it still being very comfortable.
Extraordinary. That is the best word I can think of. I rarely write reviews. As I have grown older I have been learning self-care and self-compassion. That has led me to being a once per month massage client for the last several years as I travel the world for business - Asia, Europe, Australia, South America - so many techniques. Tonight I had a massage at Eszence and I can say I have never experienced anything like it. When I walked in I was not sure what to expect as it is a TINY space in a medical strip mall. We talked about why I came here and what I was looking for. I then embarked on a 90 minute journey to bliss. Yes the pressure and techniques were right, but there was so much more. There was a flow and an art that I have not experienced before. I left completely content, relaxed and drained (in the best way). Whenever possible, this will be my go-to in Cali for a massage. Don't think further, just do it. Amazing.
I've gotten massages from both Nikki and Rira and both are amazing Deep tissue, head and shoulder and foot massages are all great.
I never knew that this type of a massage were so independent. I've had problems for years with back quads. I am an athlete. The master will tune you up like you. Never thought was possible as if they take 30 years off your life.
I recommend this to anyone with pain.
Swedish hot stone massage was VERY relaxing! Love how the room was temperature controlled and the space was clean and smelled lovely. Note: If you want deep tissue, this is not their specialty.
Such a relaxing experience. I got caught up in the social media hype about deep scalp cleanse and found this spot off yelp. It's a really small spot so you don't get the frills of a fancy spa but it was still a lovely experience. I got the sensitive skin deep scalp cleanse. First they give you a back massage, then use a magnifying camera to look at your scalp. It was wild to see all the oil build up. After they spend 45 minutes doing the cleanse and then look at your scalp again afterward. There wasn't any more build up! She recommends how often you should wash your hair. They then blow dry your hair. I'd definitely do it again.

Nadine is a master massage therapist! I had a 50 minute Stretch massage, Scalp Renewal and Deep Tissue. The pressure was perfect & I walked out fully relaxed, next time I’ll go for an 80 minute massage!

Dr Wang is an extremely talented and compassionate healer. I have been seeing him for the past two years and every time I visit he fixes my energy and makes me feel like my best self. He’s extremely unassuming and humble in demeanor. I have seen MANY different acupuncturists and Dr. Want in my opinion in the best. It takes a few treatments to feel a difference and don’t be off put by any potential cultural communication differences. This acupuncturist has the purest of intentions for his patients, trust in the healing process, you will be pleased if you stick with his treatment protocol!
Dr. Song is a godsend! I've suffered from ulnar nerve entrapment for 8 months. Doctors, PT, helped up to a certain point. But after just 1 treatment, she's fixed me 100%! My strength is back and I'm 100% cured! Thank you Dr. Song for your help!
Saw Emily Kwong yesterday for headaches and nausea that have been plaguing me for weeks. She is remarkable and incredibly talented at her craft. I've had many acupuncture treatments at various locations in the past and this far surpassed all others. Dr. Emily was very knowledgeable and meticulous about understanding what my muscles and nervous system needed. She spent over 2 hours with me doing acupuncture and putting on ear seeds and completely got rid of my headache and nausea. I cannot recommend her enough!
