But I appreciated how the experience at Dr. Chinn's was effortless. An acquaintance, Vina who works there referred me. their office has customer parking so I didn't have to stress about that part. The store is brightly lit, clean, organized and not overwhelming. The staff was polite and very helpful. Dr. Chinn was thorough in the exam process and set me up with Mo, who was patient with me as I looked the selection over, twice, because I'm indecisive. But ultimately she helped me pick a frame that was a similar look but definite upgrade from what I walked in with. I won't be dragging my feet with next years exam knowing I had a great experience at Dr. Chinn's and his staff.“

Hart Optical used to have an optician to do exams, but now they just fill prescriptions. They accept insurance and take ours, you'd have to ask about what type. They have a pretty good selection of frames. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. They're located in a strip mall on La Mesa Boulevard. There's plenty of parking.“

“My experience with Optica Fashion Valley was and still is exceptional. I ordered the Cartier Piccadilly frame in the Platinum colorway. With custom lenses ( cut and shape, and transition to black ) . Christina helped me in Nov 2023 and I am so grateful to her for the patience and expertise she displayed. When I picked them up a couple weeks later or so, I was a bit nervous on how they would fit and how well the new prescription and lenses feel. All the recommendations she made were absolutely spot on perfect for me. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years and mainly wear Kawasaki frames/ something lighter. But these are so nice! Hands down some of the best service I have encountered in any industry in a long time. I saved so much time going straight there trying on the frames and buying from them. They handled everything. I was shopping around for these frames and sure I could've saved a hundred bucks going online... But that was overruled by the exceptional service and help I received. However - We've been seeing Dr Lum for over 7 years, since we first arrived in San Diego. He's always attentive, considerate, kind and gives us plenty of options and choices of care. He's flexible and has incredible bedside manner with his patients. I won't go anywhere else!“
