“If they gave out a Nobel Peace prize to veterinarians Steele Canyon should win. They are not just veterinarians they are humanitarians for pets..
They are pet-itarians lol.
The office manager is a delight! She's so thoughtful and sweet. Even though that job couldn't be easy, you would never know it
They try to help people financially if necessary and they've always seen Venus on the fly if there was a crisis. I drive 50 miles one way just to go to this veterinarian because they're so good.“
“Where have I been that I didn't know about this absolutely incredible team?! I'm going to keep this review as short as possible, but needless to say, there are literally tons of positive things I can say! Right off the bat, the staff made the transition from our previous vet seamless and stress-free. We took our Maltipoo, Monkey, in because he was peeing all over the house. The staff got his medical records from our previous vet, and we were off to the races. I was very impressed with Dr. Balma and his thoroughness - not just in trying to figure out the cause of my dog's problem, but taking the time to explain all of the possibilities so I would know what I could face. Not only that, the doctor and the staff - Andrea, Stephanie R, and Giovanna - followed up and have continued to do so by text. I was shocked and SO touched by the simple act of just checking in. The techs have also been fabulous - Albania, Patrick, and probably others I can't name now. Even though we live a good half an hour away, we will continue to see this fantastic group of folks to take care of our fur babies!“
“Love Dr Simpson and his staff. Saw Dr. Benavides today and she answered all my questions. Very highly recommended.“
“Very professional and kind staff.
The veterinarian was very professional, very caring and considerate and she took extra time to explain everything to us about our dogs
A huge thank you to the doctor and to all of the staff at the Harmony Animal hospital.“
“Dr. Jacobs is an amazing doctor, my cats are my babies, he's a very caring & a very knowledgeable doctor. The nurses are so sweet and so caring too.“
“Great experience!! Staff and Dr are awesome!! Spouse and I are linked to the military so we are in San Diego temporarily and on a strict budget. We have 2 cats and a dog. This establishment is super affordable with excellent service. I strongly recommend!! They have a great app and commutation via text. Building is a lil run down but I don’t think they are in business for a big profits. A+++++!!“
“This place always come in the clutch when I had to take my cat there for emergencies or stitches for example. I had another pet now so we will see how it goes because I’ll be back I am sure!“
“I think Dr. McClemons is an exceptional vet. The office as a whole on the other hand I was less impressed by. The office atmosphere, patience of staff and wait time are 3 star-level but Dr. McClemons and the location are a 5. First, let me praise Dr. McClemons. We have a 3 year-old dog who has been struggling with an autoimmune disease for two years. We have seen multiple vets but Dr. McClemons noticed details and presented options no other vet had. She is knowledgeable, detailed, informative (without being condescending) and dedicated. She called me back on a Friday evening so I wouldn't have to wait until Monday to hear our pup's test results. The office. The location is excellent, right off the 805. There is a canopy outside with metal chairs for you to wait in. I actually prefer this so that I'm not trying to keep my dog away from a cat sitting 3 feet from us in a waiting room. There was a bit of a wait time, 10-15 minutes to get into a room then 10-15 minutes to see the vet. The staff I encountered my first visit were bright, kind and helpful. The second visit was a busy day for their office and staff were less patient and kind that day. The price is comparable to other vets we've visited. They offer a 10% military discount!“
“I brought my cat here for dental work because of the good reviews and affordability. For a dental cleaning and one extraction, the total was around $543 (including the cost of the visit). Compared to other places, which were over $800, it was very affordable. I am very grateful. Dr. Jesus did a great job. I requested before-and-after pictures of the surgery, and they were very willing and cooperative. The pictures were a bit graphic, but the area healed within 1-2 weeks. Thank you to Dr. Jesus and all the staff for making this possible and caring for my pet. :)“
“We have been clients at KVH for 24 years over three different dogs. We brought our newest addition in for her first wellness exam last week with Dr. Ronai. We have had so many services over the years from routine exams to grooming to emergencies and major dental work. Everyone has been consistently outstanding. All of the vets have been great but especially Dr. Michele Mason. Dr. Mason has been there since we started and is wonderful. She helped to quickly identify a serious issue with our dog Alvin a few years ago and suggested bringing him to VCA for emergency surgery, very likely saving his life. Dr. Mason (as well as Dr. Ungar and Dr. Jordan) also provided outstanding care to our beloved first dog Wilma from her first visit to the end of her life. My only issue with them is their phone system. Periodically, messages are left and not returned. I find it's much better to wait and speak with someone live or send an email. Other than that, they are awesome and an amazing service to have right here in Kensington.“
“So far they have been very kind and taken care of my cat very fast. I appreciate the hard work and kindness.“
“I'm still giving a five star because of my experience with Dr. Brown and her staff, but am saddened to see recent negative reviews of a place I really loved and actually missed when we moved. We haven't been patients since 2021, because we've moved out of the area. I had the office transfer records to our new vet in Oceanside and told them how I wished I could magically transport back to them at the time After two years, we suddenly started getting notices of vaccinations due on our pets. So I called to remind them that we'd long ago moved, and was not happy to learn that the practice is now owned by VCA. Got the same wonderful phone response that I used to love about Rancho, so hopefully the staff is happy. But the outsized charges mentioned in recent reviews are a hallmark of VCA, in my experience. Corporate veterinary practice at its worse, imo. The new 'vaccination reminders' even though the practice knew we'd moved is certainly telling of corporate mentality After our wonderful experience with Rancho, the first vet we went to in Oceanside had just been bought by VCA. Reviews went from stellar (original owner had been the vet there for 25 years) to abysmal. I still liked the everchanging swinging door of doctors who actually saw my cat though, so I was okay with them. Then I had a very bad experience with their lead doctor who had been approving/writing RX's for my cat without problem (as dictated by the doctors who actually saw my cat). All of a sudden she was not going to write one of the medications 'because of VCA policy'. In other words, VCA was dictating against the doctors who actually KNEW my cat. The lead doc never returned my calls and the staff were condescending. I peaced out ASAP. Certainly glad that they didn't yet seem to have the policy of charging more if a different doctor was seen, as noted in one of Rancho's reviews. Thankfully, I found another, privately owned practice in Oceanside that shows everyday that they care for animals and their humans. It has been a breath of fresh air. I understand that VCA has the purchasing power to take over practices, but it seems that something important gets lost in the translation there. Am hoping that Rancho can still keep its good reputation for the long haul.“
“So affordable and the people are super nice. We took our 16 YO Pomeranian here when we had to say goodbye and everything was so calm and respectful. We now take our new Australian shepherd here.“
“Very nice staff...and they find time for you as we all know how we stress when our fur baby is sick“
“I cannot thank the team at El Cajon Valley Veterinary Hospital enough for their incredible care and professionalism. They worked quickly and efficiently to save my dog, and their kindness and dedication truly stand out. In a moment of desperation, they provided not only exceptional medical attention but also much-needed reassurance. Their helpful and friendly attitude is evident every time I call, and I feel so lucky to have found such a reliable place for my dog's care. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking top-notch veterinary services. Thank you for the best experience with my beloved pet!“
“my dog is skittish but the vet and staff were amazing with her and made both of us feel relaxed. thank you for helping my pup.“
“I received a letter in the mail today that warmed me and my family's heart that came from B street veterinary hospital. My Lab that was one day away from reaching 15 years old, passed away in my arms naturally. My best friend that I knew from the day he was born, my Buddy. B Street veterinary is a corporation full of employees that truly cares about your pet and their owners. I am grateful that they found it in their heart to take the time to do this for us. Thank you and God bless.“
“My partner and I found a kitten in the street who was in really bad shape. When we found him he was lethargic, wobbly, scared. One of his eyes was completely shut and the other had a very bad infection in it. He was starving. He was skin and bone and had maggots in his skin. He was covered in flees. We tried to bring the baby to the humane society because we were unsure if we could afford the medical care he needed. The humane society said they weren’t open and wouldn’t take him that day. So they referred us to Bonita Pet Care. We brought him in and Natalie at the front desk was so helpful and quick to assist. She went and got Dr. Singh, who admitted the kitten immediately. Bonita vet clinic gave us a “good samaritan” discount for the kittens care. They took such good care of the kitten and he is doing well! They even called to make sure he was doing okay. I could not recommend a vet hospital more. He’s not out of the woods yet, but with the quality of care he is actively receiving from Bonita Pet Care, I’m sure he’ll make the most heart warming recovery. We decided to keep him and name him Church. (Yes like the cat from pet cemetery lol!) thank you to all of the staff at Bonita Pet Care! And a special thank you to Natalie and Dr. Singh for their urgency and TLC.“
