“I wanted to take the time to write an honest review on behalf of my mom. I have been taking my mom (age 82) to see Dr. Jax Chou for a couple of months for pain/weakness in her leg/hip. She had been having trouble walking and couldn't even take a step up the sidewalk on her own. Dr. Chou was very personable and patiently listened and accessed her health situation and put my mom at ease. He explained clearly the treatment plan and helped her feel relaxed and calm with skilled acupuncture and cupping treatments. Her symptoms improved with each visit and she eventually regained her strength in her leg and was able to even walk up the flight of stairs in her own home. Dr. Chou is a very knowledgeable and experienced acupuncturist and I am so thankful he took good care of my mom.“
“Rose is a gift. I have been working with her for over a year prior to getting pregnant with my third child in preparation to heal my body from prior birth trauma. After over a year of trying western medicine and seeing a pelvic floor specialist, I remembered how well acupuncture had been for me in the past for pain management. Whether you believe (1) that there is an invisible chi force that the needles align in balance or (2) the needles work to physically release the tension in the muscles (which, I'm more inclined to believe): the effect is undeniable. I've seen Rita 5 times now and my muscles are so much more pliable and now stretching easily releases the muscle tension. Pain free and flexible movement as a 50+ year old - YAY!As to Rita herself, she is not only completely professional, experienced, and knowledgeable, she was born with a healthy dose of empathy so she genuinely cares for her patients. “Yes, Leo is a healer, highly talented, skillful in explaining the dynamics of his treatment, and life-changing. He helped a friend who had a stroke, and my friend had NO constructive suggestions of any kind from his medical doctors. In one session Leo made some progress! Leo is someone who would be excellent to consult with if you or any your loved ones are taking medications for any reason. Conditions like high blood pressure may be treated with medications that deplete the body when treatments from a practitioner like Leo can treat the conditions that cause high blood pressure (my words, not Leo's.) Health problems need attention, and medications are the default in our culture. Consider moving past conventional care to resolve some health issue's with this smart and wise man. (Medications contribute to MANY health problems, and don't even resolve the problems.) It was actually thrilling to witness such comprehensive care from a practitioner that even specifically addressed nutrition, and not the usual "eat more vegetables." I've been to other acupuncturists (as had the friend who referred me here) and Leo is now my go-to doctor. Our insurance doesn't cover his care, but I feel like having him treat my family is a form of insurance against future ills. What a resource, easy to find, and free parking too!!“
