“Lisa and her team were simply fantastic from the beginning to the completion of our project. Lisa posses keen insights into kitchen layout as well as taking into account the style of the house and the style and preferences of her clients. Our house is a 1920s house in Alameda with many quirks. Lisa came up with a curved countertop to address the funky architecture and it is one of the best features of the kitchen. We've never had someone so involved in managing a project, choosing materials, colours, and touches. Lisa brought in excellent contractors who were respectful, professional, and timely. The project also came in right on budget, which we've never experienced before. Lisa is an excellent guide and sounding board through the whole process. Our experience was excellent and we would do another project with her in a heartbeat!“

“We had a leak issue and talking to Mike through a video call on the phone helped us to quickly identify and fix the leak. Also, Rain Defense has been fixing issues on our house for a while now. They documented every previous work which was great to help eliminate these items that's have already been addressed through past work.“

“ReviewThis review has been long overdue! Our house project started just before COVID and involved pretty much remodeling our entire house on the inside. Little did we know that because of COVID, our project would take longer than expected. Despite all the COVID delays, we loved the final results. I would say as far our experience with P.K. Remodeling, Piotr is probably one of the most genuine, reasonable, honest contractors out there. His team were good guys too. He was very chill, easy to work with, took care of everything behind the scenes with the city, and surprisingly reachable. We had a leak from the outside due from the rain and siding (unrelated to the inside project) and called him late at night when we got home from a vacation to notice there water seeping through the wall prior to him installing the floors. He actually replied and had his guys look at it immediately the next day and fixed our leak. When there were issues, as there always inevitably is some with home remodeling, he worked with us to pivot with new creative ideas/solutions. Although my husband and I are fairly picky in our design choices, he was honest in what he felt would look good for our home, so there was some healthy debate in certain situations. Piotr was adamant that we have lights under our waterfall kitchen counter. We were hesitant at first, but he was right, and now it's one of the favorite characteristics of our kitchen. One time, he happened to be at the same tile store as we were. We were having some trouble deciding on trim borders, he kindly joined us in conversation with the designer, but was gently insistent that the white trim edge liners looked much better than the metal that was considered. Again, he was right. All in all, this process was not without its challenges and stress, but it made it so much easier just to work with an all around good human!“

“This was my first time remodeling my condo (or any property) and I couldn't be happier with my experience with Isaam Construction. They were thorough, skilled, and had a big emphasis on quality and communication that I really appreciated.

Abraham was my onsite manager and he was... actually onsite! He was very kind about answering all my questions and providing recommendations where needed. He was very patient when I needed time to figure things out, and honest when things needed change. He'd often FaceTime me to excitedly show progress updates and when he had questions or ideas.

I'm often anxious about doing home updates and tend to go the DIY route. Javier, the team's tile expert, really convinced me that sometimes a professional is just better. I had my bathroom remodeled and I still smile at how well the tile is laid EVERY TIME I SHOWER. I definitely can't say the same about all the personal projects I've tiled in the past.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable process and I would absolutely hire them again!“

Though he would have been our first choice (his reputation for foundations is unmatched!) we didn't end up going with him due to time constraints and other factors. Despite that, recently we needed a second opinion on some framing work and so I reached out and he gladly helped us look over a contract and gave feedback.
