“The Instructors at Purple Dragon Kitsilano are so friendly and welcoming! The location is also great with lots of great cafes and parks to enjoy the rest of your Saturday morning!Moreover, Shihan Murphy's kickboxing classes are well thought out and challenging. The first time I tried it, I was scared of not being able to keep up with the class and not being physically fit enough. However, everyone was soo supportive! Exercises are modified to meet your needs and to match your current fitness level. Thank you for making my first kickboxing experience pleasant and fun!Best,Katie Aston“

“Amazing weekend of jujutsu, taught by Seamark Hanshi and several shihan. Lots time was spent working the waza and uncovering some of the details within the waza.It was also a treat to see some budo brothers and sisters on the mat again and catch up socially“

“A good yoga spot downtown, with friendly instructors. It is a hot yoga spot so if you dont like the heat it may not be for you. The room is dark lit with led candles so if you dont want that "zen vibe" its not for you. The instructor i has led a class with a faster pace which i liked. Only downside is there is only one shower in the bathroom to share amongst many drenched sweaty people“

“Never noticed this studio before in Yaletown as it is on the second floor and requires being buzzed into the building. Inside, you will find a surprisingly zen environment with a bohemian vibe. There are free lockers, mats and towels that can be rented for a fee, toiletries stocked in the change room, and complimentary tea in the lounge/retail area. Change rooms do have showers and many benches and coat hooks. There are two studios here, one for yoga and one for aerial silk classes. The yoga one is actually quite large for downtown and has wooden beams and can be heated with infrared.I took the lunchtime class with Victoria who is a legit yogi! The class was more on the serious yoga side rather than yoga for fitness sake. We started with a couple breathing exercises and then we moved into poses, which were performed in sets of two. Even though this wasn't "flow", it was actually fairly challenging to hold the poses in this sequence and there were many I had never tried. Victoria came around and corrected people's form, which was super helpful. She also demonstrated every move. I would like to come back and try the aerial yoga class.“

He is extremely caring and is always wanting to address any concerns you have that day. He is great with adjusting techniques and pressure depending on your concern or injury. James has resolved many underlying back and leg injuries/soreness that I have suffered from over the years. I always leave my appointments feeling refreshed, relaxed and pain-free. He’s an over all amazing RMT.“
