Company A showed up on Thanksgiving evening, took their $250 holiday fee, and gave me an estimate of over $7800 to replace my unit with their favorite brand of unit... Ewwww. Super scummy. Company B (The Aussie Plumber) showed up, diagnosed the issue, found I need a simple $3.99 part that I could purchase myself from ACE Hardware. He also liked at my mixing valve, replaced it, charged me nominally for the work and waived the diagnostic fee on the water heater. I CANNOT RECOMMEND CAMERON ENOUGH! He was professional, polite, knew where he needed to get into it he didn't know it off hand. Saved me $7000! And the water if buying a new unit when one was not needed.
