“It's mid-December and the temperature is dropping to zero tonight, so of course our radiant heat boiler pump started making a horrible noise. I called Gross Heating on Monday to have someone come out asap. I was told Wednesday morning was the soonest they could make it. I was reluctant to call another company because in the past I had a bad experience with another. The last time Gross came out, they did a great job, so I called them back and said okay to Wednesday. They said they could actually send someone out Tuesday, late in the afternoon. The technician came out and apologized, saying this job may take more time than we have today and run into a lot of overtime. So, a new appointment was set up with another tech for Wednesday morning. In a way I'm glad this happened because the new tech was excellent in every way. He had the part I needed on his truck and had everything completed at noon. While he was there, our daughter called saying you won't believe this, but my boiler stopped working and I have no heat. Gross had anticipated the tech would be at my house the entire day. I asked if we could go over to her house to take a look at her boiler. Gross said okay, so off we went. She needed a new pump motor, which luckily he also had on his truck. In conclusion, both of our heating systems were fixed in the same day and at what I feel was a reasonable price. I trust Gross Heating and wouldn't use anyone else.“

“I called Uttke to give me a second opinion on my furnace in Bay View, after a competitor told me I needed an entirely new A/C and Furnace, and furthermore that my air handler was cracked, and carbon monoxide was potentially leaking into my home. Uttke performed a diagnostic and confirmed what I thought all along--the air handler was not cracked, and there was no carbon monoxide leaking into my home. The system was cutting off because I had installed one of those "smart" thermostats that have given homeowners so much trouble. Uttke did show me a good replacement for my furnace when the time came--a mid-range Armstrong furnace. I appreciated their integrity. I went out of my way to purchase AprilAire filters from Uttke because I appreciated how I was treated. Fast forward a couple years and I had moved to Cedarburg and needed two heat pumps. I called Uttke, got an in-person assessment, and a quote. I purchased on the spot and within days I had two heat pumps installed. Uttke was great in terms of communication to make certain the units were placed where I wanted them, and where they would make the most sense. I would recommend Uttke with confidence.“

“Everything went quite well. Our 10 yrs old Bradford & White water heater (slow intermittently) leaking on a Friday, replaced on a Monday. John (the owner) did NOT try and talk us into "emergency" services. That would've added to our costs. Pricing seemed fair enough though. Funny since 10 yrs ago, a new one costs nearly 50 % more!“
