She quickly figured out what my vision problem was, created a treatment plan, and I started therapy with Brian, a wonderful and very skilled therapist. Dr. Kim also helped me get a special kind of glasses that might have accelerated my improvement.

Vision therapy is not cheap, but SO worth it. The exercises seem simple, but make big changes. I was astonished by the difference in my handwriting after only one week. Gradually I had less and less pain and tiredness in my face and eyes and my vision steadily improved. I can even read print books again, which I love so much! My balance improved too.

The entire experience at this center has been excellent. I'm finding the whole subject of vision (rather than visual acuity) to be so fascinating and Dr. Kim and Brian have taught me a lot about it. I think it's such a shame that vision therapy is not well known, as so many people don't know that they have vision problems and that their lives could be improved so much. I feel sad to think of all the children who's behavior and learning problems are seen as their fault or psychological/learning disability problems, when the problem is really their vision. Their futures could be so different. I can't imagine being a student with the struggles I have had with my eyes. Terrible.
