If you’re looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend Jeff and and co-trainer Jenny of Rocky Junior's Dog Training Service. Initially, the big plus for me was that he came to our home, which I needed for my sweet, fearful dog. She was afraid of a collar, a leash and a harness, and I didn’t know how to get her past that. She was six months when I brought her home. She was so loving, but timid around new people. Fortunately, she loved other dogs, so after a few lessons covering the basics with Jeff, Jenny joined him for the sessions. I started reintroducing the harness on training day, and Bella would come out of hiding when her friends Jeff and Jenny arrived. Bella started to associate the harness and leash with good things and now gets excited when I ask if she’d like to go for a walk. My main goal with training was to get my dog Bella over her fear of a leash so I could take her for walks! We achieved! Will continue with training to fine tune some of her other behaviors - but we’ve had great success so far. 🦮🐾❤️
Can’t say enough about Jeff and Rocky junior. They saved our dog, Daisy from a life of extreme fear of other dogs due to lack of early socialization from prior owner. She was reactive and could not even be walked around the block without negative interactions if other animals were present. Jeff’s love for animals and his passion for what he does shines thru and changes lives. Can’t recommend him enough.
We highly recommend Jeff and Rocky Jr’s Dog Training for giving guidance and training for dogs who are not obedient, not focused on the owner, and with behavior issues. Here is our story… "Why can’t you be more like that dog?" was something another owner in the park asked their dog. They were observing how my dog, Rocky, was paying attention to me and non-reactive. We were prepared. We wouldn’t have heard this without help from Jeff and Rocky Jr. at Rocky Jr’s Dog Training. Our rescue had been in and out of 3 homes and had severe hip issues at 1-year old before he found us. He was not obedience trained and had many fearful behaviors in busy places like parks, extreme car anxiety, frightening resource guarding, and was even anxious of wind gusts. His reactivity and anxiety eventually lead us not being able to walk him too far from home. We started with the Complete Dog Training Program where Jeff quickly was able to capture Rocky’s attention. Soon we were able to build focus and work through behaviors. Jeff was patient while Rocky recovered from surgery, and I think the biggest reactivity improvements came after adding on additional BAT 1.0 & 2.0 sessions, with the help of Rocky Jr. Our Rocky still has his moments and we still have some work to do, but we’ve learned and accomplished so much and much more rapidly with the training and guidance. And hearing other dog owners now give praise instead of concerned looks feels especially rewarding. Thank you so much Jeff and Rocky Jr.!
