“I hired Harjo to build an addition and redo the (very old) kitchen - this expanded into a little more work (motivated by me, as I was understanding some other parts of the house that needed work). When my friends have done renovations, the story is always delay and stress. It was completely the opposite with Harjo - great communication, great help and support all round, and even when I expanded the scope, everything got done on time and well. There were a couple minor problems, and of course there were unexpected things that we found in the process of renovating a 1947 house - but really, really small in comparison to the entire project, and they were easy to resolve. The team was great. The house is so much better now!“

“TL/DR: We'd use them again for any updates to our deck or fencing needs.

They replaced a concrete patio with a composite deck. Their bid was competitive and Andy was the only one of the 3 contractors we spoke to who we felt truly listened to us regarding our backyard. Our backyard doesn't drain well (it's sodden underfoot after a rainstorm) and we raised this as a concern for the foundations of our deck. The other contractors hand-waved on "it'll be fine with concrete foundations" - Andy's solution was to drive piles into the ground until they hit rock.

His crew were excellent - they kept the site tidy, cared about what they were building (they rejected one set of material because they weren't happy with it) and kept us informed of when they'd be on site. We're very happy with the deck that they've built for us and their work is of a high standard with good attention to detail.“

“After having a very bad experience last Summer with a Home Depot Pro contractor who took a deposit and never did the work, I was very sensitive to hiring another contractor this Spring. Because of the money I lost, I had to scale back the work from deck and porch replacement to deck and porch repair/refurbish. “You always want to go with a contractor that you have a good feeling about and Jose was that for us! He was super knowledgeable on opening a wall between our main living spaces. He took the time to explore all his options and explain the work that needed to be done. He even came out a second time to walk us through his quote. Never once did it feel like a sales pitch which wasn't the case with other contractors. During the project he sent pictures and called me to recap the day. He was honest, stuck to his quoting, and the turn around time was super fast. I will absolutely be calling him for our next house project.“
