Seattle White Tiger Kung Fu Martial Arts Schools

“I love Kung fu classes taught by Sifu Scott. The class is conducted with mutual respect, professionalism, and personal comfort. For a middle age female, at first I felt shy and intimidated. But quickly (after 3 lessons), I feel energetic, zen, motivating, inspired, philosophical, and confident. The class offers so much more to me than just a self defense. I am learning self confidence, self discipline, and self reflection everyday with the classes. Thank you Mr/Sifu Scott for providing such inspiring lessons.“

“Our son has been going here for the past 2 years and has absolutely loved it. He not only engages with the physical activity and coordination but also the mental lessons and challenges the dojo offers in the form of values and little bits of homework to engage with those values ( things like honesty, sportsmanship, self control, etc). He had his birthday party here and a friend joined and has loved it too. Great instructors and structure to the classes. Cannot recommend it enough.“

Shin's Taekwondo Academy Martial Arts Schools

“Excellent teachers with so much patience with little kids. We got our daughter started early for taekwondo to help her develop body confidence since she is the smallest in her class and was unfortunately, facing subtle bullying in her class. Master Shin and the teachers go above and beyond to help her learn things that she finds mentally and physically challenging. Cannot recommend this school enough!“

“AMA is fantastic! My daughter has been doing karate there for more than 4 years. She started in person before the pandemic, took online classes when AMA pivoted to online, has been back in person for months and is preparing to take her junior black belt test this month. The instructors are great and Mr Herrman is very responsive. I love that they teach karate and how to be an all-round good human. AMA gave my daughter a reliable activity and reliable role models during the pandemic, when not much else was reliable. I can’t say enough good things about AMA.“

“Master Jennifer's dojo is a treasure of the PNW. Her team is incredible, each bringing their own aspects to the martial arts journey that leads to a well rounded experience and education. Sensei Amanda is so welcoming and great at teaching forms, Sensei Raven is incredible at helping students embrace a growth mindset and Sensei Taye has a breadth of knowledge he can easily break down into digestible terms. Master Jennifer fosters inspiration in her students in their techniques and exploration of philosophy that is applicable inside and outside of the dojo. Students here are friendly and welcoming, and losing ~40 pounds in 6 months through the exercise doesn't hurt either. If you're curious, try out a class. You won't regret it!“

“I have practiced and taught Oom Yung Doe for many years. I have personally gained many benefits including developing greater strength, speed agility & skill. I have also developed self-discipline, determination, confidence & self-reliance. These traits have brought me great gains both personally & professionally resulting in boosting my career, communication skills & personal relationships. Of course I have had my share of self-defense incidents from time to time over the years and am grateful to Oom Yung Doe and Grand Master "Iron" Kim for giving me the skill & ability to completely dominate my attackers in these situations.“

Taekwondo Way Martial Arts Schools

“My time here for the last 2 years has been amazing. The masters are teaching me discipline and how to defend myself. Taekwondo has also dramatically increased my self confidence. The masters are great with young and old kids. Even if these young kids are shy the masters get through to them and build their confidence. I've seen students go to being shy and not caring about there kicks to being very social and kicking with grate form. And the masters don't do this by being rude or being aggressive which I think is a stereotype of "breaking them down and building them back up" as they say but instead focus on being kind and slowly getting them out of their shell and Encouraging them to try new things. And if they aren't ready then that's ok to them. It is a great place to learn and get out of your comfort zone to reach new goals. I truly believe this is a great place and I am proud to say I have taken classes here for 2 years and am nearly a black belt-EP“
