“I had already put my new Mitsubishi Hyper mini-split ductless heat pump in place (in Bethel) and needed the refrigerant lines hooked up and system pumped down. I got ridiculous quotes for up to $650 for two men for 5 hours labor. Ben from Spectrum Energy did the job in 3 1/2 hours and didn't charge for travel time like every other place around.The job he did was outstanding! Mitsubishi have very stringent instructions for the installation including several cycles of vacuum pumping and breaking vacuum with nitrogen to get down to 500 microns. Ben went beyond that down under 100 microns. The next morning the temperature hit -8 and the heater was STILL putting out very warm air. Temperature inside has never dropped below 65 with even more colder weather.One last thing - he lets you know exactly what he's doing each step of the way. It was very informative. Not like so many others who like to pretend that their work is mysterious and magical to justify the extra hours. 2 men for 4-5 hours vs 1 man for 3 1/2 hours. No brainer.***Update***Six years later, and the heat pump is still working perfectly. This guy does great work!“
