About Peninsula Animal Referral Center
The Peninsula Animal Referral Center (PARC) is a 24-hour emergency and specialty care facility for pets, open every day of the week, including weekends and holidays. PARC offers a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and monitoring equipment, such as a full in-house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, and an intensive care oxygen therapy unit. The center has Board-Certified Specialists in various fields, including Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Oncologic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery. The staff at PARC have been praised for their kindness, empathy, and attentiveness. They are described as amazing and extremely helpful, making difficult situations more bearable for pet owners. While pricing is noted to be higher, given the emergency nature of the services provided, it is considered fair and reasonable by those who have used the facility. Many customers appreciate the staff's ability to provide timely and effective assistance, ensuring pets receive the care they need. In cases of emergency, PARC is highlighted as a go-to option when other veterinary clinics are closed or unresponsive. The center has been credited with saving lives and providing comprehensive care. In more solemn situations, the staff have been commended for their compassion and understanding. They provide comfort during challenging times, such as when a pet must be put to sleep, and their thoughtful gesture of sending a card signed by all the staff afterward has been particularly appreciated by grieving pet owners.
We had to make the incredibly difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog last Tuesday. The staff and doctor were truly amazing—compassionate, patient, and supportive every step of the way. They helped us understand our options, made sure our dog was comfortable, and treated us with so much kindness during one of the hardest moments of our lives. We are deeply grateful for the care and empathy they showed our family. Thank you for everything.
On December 24th 2025, my mother took my cat Mystique to three different vets but was denied each time. Untill Peninsula Animal Referral Center. There she was denied once again, but there was a woman behind the counter who took in Mystique and to her I'm forever grateful for. The doctor there did everything she could for my Mystique, but in the end Mystique passed. Recently I got a card from them in the mail and it really warmed my heart. I just want to thank everybody who works there for what you were able to do for me and so many other people.🧡
My 16 year old beagle had to be put down unexpectantly this morning when he started having seizures that would not stop. I was seen upon entering the building, everything was explained clearly and the price was extremely reasonable. The entire staff from the customer service reps, techs, assistants and Dr. Conyers were very caring. While it was not the outcome I would have liked the staff made it a much better experience than it could have been.
