Most disrespectful receptionist I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. She immediately had an aggressive attitude as soon as I walked in. This place is only open 2 days out of the week and they don't even open until 12, can't imagine how someone could be such a Karen when they work so little. Find somewhere else to go, the people who work here are terrible.

My wife and I walked into the Yorktown location and provided the clerk our insurance information. She advised us that we were covered through our insurance company (Anthem) and we scheduled appointments. On the scheduled day, we arrived and filled out all our paperwork and provided the clerk with our insurance cards. We saw the doctor and had a pleasant visit with the doctor. Well, although the clerk said we were covered, and I do have eye coverage, the clerk was wrong. This practice does not accept Anthem (blue cross) payments. So now I have to pay out of pocket. I went and asked in good faith, was advised I was good to go, and ended up paying out of pocket. The least I feel they could have done is work with me on it..but to no avail. I could have understood if they told me no your not covered and I knew I was paying for the visit out of pocket. I feel as though I was deceived. Found a new doctor that does take my insurance and I have not paid out of pocket.

I joined Yelp solely to leave this horrible review for this provider. Well to be more specific, the people that work for Dr. Barley... I never even met the man because the office staff were so rude and unprofessional over the phone. Giving out incorrect information regarding insurance and requesting information they did not need in order to make an appointment. I felt like they were very condescending, snotty and would never recommend this office to friends or strangers based on the service I received over the phone. They do not know proper customer service nor do they understand proper insurance or eligibility when it comes to military families. Retraining and restructuring is highly needed here Dr. Barley. Your staff sucks. Too bad because I've had great service from the doctors associated with Walmart and Sam's Clubs in other locations but not this one. Stay far far away! It received one star because I didn't have the option to leave zero.
