I had a terrible experience at the Springfield PetSmart grooming and will not be returning. I arrived for my appointment about 5 minutes late and rang the doorbell meant for service before working hours, but no one answered. I called, and still, no one picked up. After waiting outside, the groomers finally called back, saying I'd missed the grace period. I explained that I had been waiting at the door and trying to get in touch. Eventually, I figured out that I could walk through the animal hospital door and found my way to the grooming side, where I was told I should have slid the doors open myself. How was I supposed to know that with no signs or instructions? I lefr my dog anyways for grooming because it wasn't my fault their process was unclear. When I returned, I noticed extra fees had been added to the grooming charge. The matting fee made sense if there were mats, but there was also a "special care fee" with no explanation. When I asked about it, the girl at the counter checked with the groomer, who responded with an attitude, saying the fee was because my dog was "biting" during grooming. I could hear them chatting from the counter. It was just a rude interaction. This surprised me because my dog doesn't bite--he's been groomed before, and I've never had feedback like this. Now my dog seems off--his mood is timid and not like his usual self. I can't help but wonder if the groomer was too rough with him, causing this unusual behavior. I'll never know for sure, but given the lack of communication, unclear instructions, and poor attitude, this experience was unacceptable. I do not recommend Springfield PetSmart grooming and will not be returning.
This used to be my local fish store. I'm big on still supporting brick and mortar stores. However over the last 3-4 months their fish department has become completely unreliable. Went from having beautiful fish for sale to always being under observation and unsellable. As an enthusiastic cichlid keeper I've decided to move on to other fish stores as every trip out to this location recently has yielded only disappointment.
They do not have private suite, as advertised on the website! When I called to complain, the lethargic sounding floor manager, Cindy was not concerned. They will not be getting any of my business any longer.
