I went for my first visit today for a routine cleaning. The office is clean, bright and welcoming. The hygienist took X-rays and polished my teeth. Dr. Avram is patient and explained WHY flossing is necessary and cleaned my teeth. It was the gentlest cleaning ever. I actually relaxed for the first time. My previous dentist, I will not mention, said I needed 4 crowns at $2,000 a tooth and did not polish my teeth. Dr Avram stated crowns not necessary at this time. I made another 6 month return appointment.

I am 60 years old and have not required much dental work-a few fillings and one root canal. My teeth are hard to numb though. For health reasons I could no longer drive to my former dentistof several years. Had to get new dentist closer to home. Needed another root canal. Insurance identified Dr. Avram as in network. At Dr. Avram's office I spoke with one of his patients whoreported going there for years and was very pleased. I decided to let Dr. Avram do my root canal. First, this is a great practice. Dr. is patient, caring, and takes the time to explain things. The front end did try to rush me a bit too much. Their website is misleading as under services they state they do oral and maxillofacial work. They do not. The Dr. is not even using sedation techniques like nitrous oxide, as you would expect from a practice that claims to offer these services. Although never explicitly mentioned, sedation is not an option here, so please be aware of you have extreme dental anxiety and know the services listed on their website are incorrect and need to be updated to reflect this practices actual scope of work.
