“I never had damage to my home like this. Elwood was so helpful and informative, also the repairs were done right and faster than I thought possible. Two thumbs up thank you Elwood“
“Exceptional, quick service when I had a pipe burst in the attic that streamed water all the way to my basement for several days while I was on vacation-from beginning to end— they were there immediately once contacted by my insurance broker & kept me informed every step of the way! Well done & Thank You!“
“Incredible service, attention to detail, and skilled craftsmanship in this crew. Under the leadership of Bobby, Christian and his team are very skilled and fantastic to work with. I had a rather complex job of repairs after water damage and I could tell from the estimate that they pay better attention to detail then the crew my insurance company enlisted. I'm glad I went with Rainbow because I plan on keeping in touch with any future construction needs. They went above and beyond as they moved through cleanup and repairs. Thank you guys!“
“The serve pro professionals are very good and they respond in a Timely manner and make sure that all of the requests are fulfilled“
“OCC Group as general contractors are a great group. Our 1922 home was completely incomplete. Not a single room was finished - every room needed something done and not just paint and floor refinishing. Radiators needed new pipes, chimneys needed flashing, gas needed to be routed to the kitchen again. We had every light fixture done (original fixtures were moved to new rooms after re-wiring, new fixtures were installed where no original existed). New handrails (stair rails) had to be installed on the front and back porch stairs. And it was all done without constant back and forth and without our "supervision." Our vision of what our home would look like was made a reality by OCC. We can't thank them enough. Were there surprises? A few, but each and every time we were consulted and given our options or choices. There was never any pressure to do one thing over another. We made informed decisions (and I'm sure I asked enough questions!).“
“Harry was our inspector and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was going to do and went over every detail of the inspection. He was very friendly and thorough, didn’t rush, and ensured I understood the process. After our experience, I will certainly recommend CSS to others and tell them to ask for Harry.“
“have used their services for flooring twice.. about to do a third time...very professional, polite, agreeable crew.and fast... reasonable rates.“
“My experience with roto rooter and the rr technician was outstanding. They showed up promptly after i contacted them. Work started right away and i was encouraged to watch the hole process. The old septic line was scoped. The technician described what he was seeing and identified what he would do to remedy the situation. The location of the clog was identified and the technician eagerly grabbed a shovel and started digging to locate the pipe and subsequently he excavated the perimeter of the septic tank.
He clearly knew what to do. He was well trained and knew the applicable laws. He had experience with almost every septic situation imaginable and shared his insights freely. The technician was ex military, hard working never negative friendly and helpful.
I would hesitate to hire rr for another septic job“
“Most who have lived in communal settings have experienced the cantankerous neighbor who is impossible to please. That person wrote the negative review about my project. This was a substantial condo remodel that included removing walls, moving walls, rerouting plumbing, and reconfiguring existing space. As with any major renovation, of course there was loudness, debris, and necessary clean up. All of this was handled respectfully, in a timely manner, and professionally. In a complex of multiple buildings with nearly 100 units, one person took issue and wrote a negative review. I am ecstatic about the results of the remodel and recommend this group without hesitation. HF Bulifant will do right by you.“
“We had a tree fall on our property and damaged a shed and vehicle. After contacting our insurance they recommended Walker and Frick. They were very responsive and excellent too work with. Had the tree removed the same day and returned to grind the stump. The biggest hold up was waiting for the insurance company.“
“This post is a combination post to criticize the post by Olivia Gilliam (Tenant) and my dealings (homeowner) with Sermat.
On 9/7/23 a tree feel through the roof of my home and destroyed attic , roof, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the hallway.
To address MS Gilliam's comment of "Do NOT use this company! Between TERRIBLE communication, lack of timely progress, and MULTIPLE STOLEN ITEMS! Expensive electronic items stolen from my children."
1. MS Gilliam was the tenant at my house and Sermat wasn't responsible to report to her anything concerning the progress of the re-build of MY home.
2. Sermat's people were in communication with me in CA or my POC in VA who wasn't MS Gilliam.
3. With over $130,000 dollars worth of damage, NO reputable company would have things completed in 2 months. Especially with the amount of water damage in the house. Due to the major storm that went threw VA causing damage for a multitude of homeowners, it was understandable Sermat people were dealing with a lot.
4. The house had a large hole in the roof and was open to the elements for a few days. This was a separate company from Sermat that removed the tree and tarped the roof.
5.As for stolen items from MS Gilliam, she was told due to multiple contractors going inside the house, No one can say who supposedly stole her children's items. To lay blame on Sermat is uncalled for. There were about 10 different contract companies going in and out of the house doing work.
Also, MS Gilliam was told to file a police report since she nor I knew who supposedly took the items.
Due to the amount of water damage in the house, I told Sermat to dispose of all water damaged items in the house. This would have included any and all electronics that appeared to be water damaged.
6. Due to the house being uninhabitable from 9/7/23 to 4/15/24 MS Gilliam was no longer a tenant living in the house and wasn't given permission to be in the house during this time period.
Advice to people renting any type of structure to live in. Make sure you have renters insurance. DON'T rely on the home owner's insurance to cover your items in the rented location.
Sermat did right by me. Yes there were times when communications was slow and that was due to me being in CA and Sermat in VA.
I would highly recommend Sermat to re-build your home if you ever have any type of damage.
My finished home is beautiful. Yes it took time but Rome wasn't built in a day.“
“Five Stars was hands down one of the best companies we've ever worked with. Gani, the owner, came to our house late at night when it started flooding and all of his other crews were at other jobs. In the POURING rain this man climbed on a ladder, unclogged our gutters, and dug a trench away from our house to stop the flooding. We had to have all of our floors ripped out due to the flood and Five Stars had guys in the next day to remove the excess water and all the floors (Gani vacuumed most of the water out himself the night before). Throughout the process Gani and his team were super responsive, respectful of our house, and did a great renovation in relatively quick order. They were truly a godsend during the flooding and we would recommend them to anyone.“
