“After moving to Hampton and being far away from our other vet, I decided to check out veterinary clinics nearby. Came across Poquoson Vet Hospital and boy am I glad I did! From the first interaction of making an appointment to actually coming in for the first visit was a pleasant experience!I brought our dog Tucker to this facility and they welcomed us with warm smiles and pleasant demeanors. Tucker is usually hesitant to go to the vet but he walked right in and was friendlier than usual! After a brief registration, we were taken back to the room. I cannot recall the vet tech's name but she was awesome with Tucker, very friendly and calm.We were greeted by Dr. Williams and he came in the same way, introduced himself and gave Tucker all the attention he deserved! Very knowledgeable and approachable, which is hard to find now a days!I would highly recommend if in the area. Staff was pleasant, quick appointments and very quick to get in for an appointment!“

“Dr Dove is amazing and is very knowledgeable! She does such a good job with my 4 dogs. She has gone out of her way to get my dog a medical diagnosis that was needed and communicated with me regarding medication changes and whether or not I felt them necessary based on behavior at home. She also introduced me to a shot that is good for my one dog’s arthritis. It is 100% worth the ride from Chesapeake to Newport News once a month because the difference is astronomical! The staff are amazing and will go out of their way to help you. If you are looking for a vet, I highly recommend Dr Dove! Warwick Animal Hospital treats you like you’re family and treats your animals as if they were their own.“

“The hospital staff are so so nice! I expect offices like this to send appointment reminders/confirm appointments ahead of time - but they literally called me the day after my cat Charlie’s dental cleaning (which involved anesthesia) to make sure my cat was still doing okay. The vets are so willing to answer questions/give realistic suggestions for care. The office staff are great about synchronizing appointments for multiple pets. They’re also very good at managing dogs, cats, and other friends simultaneously in the waiting area and diverting them to treatment rooms as needed. The health insurance plans are not cheap by any means (they stack up!), but for our family it’s been worth it.“

“Dr. Guftafson is an angel on Earth. He is the most Brilliant and Compassionate doctor I have EVER known (and I’m 62). He knows volumes about veterinary medicine! He keeps up on everything new …. including cutting edge technologies and pharmaceuticals. He also shows compassion during the toughest of times. If you are looking for a vet, please do your precious animal and yourself a huge favor and choose Dr. Guftafson. I wish he was MY physician and my family’s physician, as well! “They have taken great care of my puppy. Granted she is 9 months old with a weight of 43 pounds, she is still my puppy. Yesterday she went in for surgery, she was spade. The girls who take her into the building and bring her back out are very nice. The Dr called me as soon as the surgery was over and let me know how she was doing. I couldn't pick her up until about 5 hours later because she had to completely wake up. I would recommend this business to anyone with a pet.“

“I have had my pets in the care of Dr. Gibson for numerous years, including prior to her having the mobile vet service. I do prefer a mobile vet because the animals are so much more at ease. Dr. Gibson honestly loves what she does and this shows. Whenever I am able, I have her services. She has also been available for euthanasia. While that is awful and sad to experience, I can’t think of a better person, doctor and situation for this need.Because this is a small mobile vet service with limited hours, you generally need to call ahead and schedule regarding availability. If she is unable to perform certain services due to the nature of her mobile service, or feels that your animal would benefit from services elsewhere, she will recommend that.Dr. Gibson is professional, moral, a good communicator and a downright good person and veterinarian who loves animals.“

“Excellent vet to take your pet. The woman vet is incredible and cares so much a out your pet. She even calls to check on them!“

“When I brought my 13yr old dog to them, she was in a bad way. She was having complications due to a biopsy that was performed on her a week prior, her body was just not responding and healing, and her health took a serious turn for the worse. I cannot say enough good things about PARC. They were so kind and supportive. Our Luna's body just was so tired and she was suffering. I was able to contact my husband and we made the decision to let her go. He was able to get our kids on video chat, so they could say their goodbyes. They gave me time and space to do that and I am so grateful. I was such a mess that I didn't remember, where I would come to pick my girl up when she was ready to come back home. I called and they told me not to worry and gave me the information I needed. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and attention given to myself and our Luna. She was our world and they made me feel comfortable and at ease in such an emotional time.“

“(Just so everyone knows I am a real person who received treatment for my dogs at this place, my name is Matthew Carr and the most recent visit was on October 26, 2024):

I’m not sure how anybody would give this wonderful place anything lower than five stars! It blows my mind and it makes me think that other people just expect vets to instantly fix every animal no matter what.

So far I have had three of my dogs go to this clinic and all three of them, even the one that had very minimal chances of making it through the night, survived. On top of that, when I went back the next time with a different dog, the entire staff recognized me immediately Asked me how my other dogs were doing and treated the dog. I had with me quickly and efficiently. Yes it’s a little expensive and yes there’s a wait (which is one of the dumbest reasons I’ve read so far as to why people don’t like this veterinary clinic… Medical care is expensive and sometimes other people who are more serious and hurting; you won’t get to go first !!) but I’d rather go somewhere and wait a little bit to get excellent service then go anywhere and get a vet who just doesn’t care with a team that is ineffective and unresponsive.
These wonderful workers have literally saved three pieces of my heart, and I have no idea what I would’ve done if I had lost any of them because of some dumb or unqualified person pretending to be a good vet compared to at this clinic where you genuinely know, they care and are educated)
I promise I’m not being overly dramatic and I promise I’m not being paid to see this, but I am not going anywhere else for an emergency vet need!!

And the craziest part three hours after coming back from the ER my little guy who never wants to go for a walk anyway requested a walk immediately! His brother (who you also saved after he had green poisoned by eating a Lilly leaf) was soooo happy to have him back.

“We brought our dog in around 7:00 pm on a Monday for a big cut on his face. The staff was very friendly and attentive, kept us updated and we only had to wait for about an hour to get brought back and done with treatment. Dr. Caster was very kind and took great care of our dog. We would definitely go back (but hopefully we won’t need to ?).“
