“My dog, Boone, recently went through the bootcamp at K9 & Co. Retreat, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Mark, the owner and trainer, is more than just a dog trainer—he’s a true dog behaviorist. He doesn’t just teach skills and commands, he addresses the root causes of behaviors, which makes all the difference. Boone went in with behaviors that were worrisome and disruptive to daily life. Honestly, I was starting to lose hope. But Mark and his amazing team brought that hope back. They kept me updated with pictures and videos of Boone’s progress, and I could see him growing into the best version of himself. What I love most about K9 & Co is that it feels like family. Boone has been going to daycare and boarding there for over 4 years, and he’s always excited to go. From the very beginning, he learned to socialize with other people and dogs, and that foundation has carried through every part of his training and life. Thanks to the care, dedication, and expertise of the entire team, Boone truly loves life—the way all dogs should. “We have had nothing but fantastic experiences at Betty Baugh’s. My girlfriend and I moved to RVA a few years ago with her now 13 year old cat, and we have been going there for all our vet needs. They are fantastic at working with you to ensure that you receive all the required care for your pet, while still working within your budget. It has been fantastic for a couple of college kids with an old cat. The entire staff also cares so much. Recently, when our kitty was having some stomach issues they managed to fit us in between appointments. Multiple members of their staff have messaged us to check in on our cat (not just the doctor, but even some of the front desk staff). We highly recommend Betty Baughs!“

“The staff here are so kind and friendly. My dog, Cosette, begins smiling and wiggling as soon as we walk in the door. It is a 'no frills' place but my dog doesn't need a pool or gym equipment. She needs a loving staff and plenty of dogs to play with. It is affordable and they will even bath her and trim her nails for me. She goes to daycare 2 days a week. Because she has so many positive interactions there, she was comfortable being boarded for a few days.“

“My girl absolutely loves it here!! She’s still a puppy and has very bad anxiety, but is always so happy to come here! When we tell her it’s time to go to daycare or boarding, she gets her harness and runs to the front door with it and waits there until it’s time to go! When we drop her off, she gets so excited she can barely even contain herself and immediately runs over to the staff to give them hugs and kisses and everyone working is always so thrilled to see her. And since she has such bad anxiety, this is always really nice to see. I always feel comfortable leaving after drop off and always feel heart warmed by how happy she is to see all the staff and how happy they are to see her too! And on top of that, they have excellent prices!! I couldn’t recommend Dog’s Day Inn enough!!“

“Our dogs love ADA! Our puppy enjoyed a week of day school training and both of our dogs loved their week vacation of boarding. I appreciate the pictures shared every day that show our dogs having fun while we are away, which makes it much less stressful to travel!“

they also all take the time to know each dog and their behaviors which is great. if i were in the financial situation to do so, i would take her here multiple times a week.

they also have great grooming services! she has been groomed from a face trim to a full body and each time has been great.

she loves being here and it gives her the time play with other dogs and keep her social. while she seems to have unlimited energy, she definitely snoozes hard after a day here (which is great for me).

they also offer live cams to check on your dogs while they are here. i haven’t used them yet, but am excited to do so soon.“

“My dog has attended daycare twice a week at Holiday Barn for about 2 years. She loves all of her counselors and gets excited to go to daycare. We also use their boarding and grooming services regularly. My dog is always wearing a cute bandana after grooming! They are more expensive than other places but the level of service and care for our dog has made it worth it. I also love the extra enrichment activities offered like birthday parties!“

“They took excellent care of our cat for a week. The cat area is very clean and quiet, away from the dogs. The area was indoor temperature controlled at a comfortable level.“

We have a three-year-old dog who was very stubborn and didn’t want to listen. Walks used to feel stressful because he pulled constantly, and recall seemed impossible. After working with Ashley, he now listens, comes when called, and walks calmly on a leash.

We were turned down by a few trainers and then contacted Jen. Our dog is a rescue, and she was highly reactive to other dogs and loud noises. “Bottom line: Kasey and the 2SD team are AMAZING! I cannot express how grateful I am for Kasey’s dedication, patience, and knowledge.

Our pup did great in puppy classes, but when he started exhibiting unwanted behaviors during basic training classes, we worked with Kasey 1:1 and couldn’t be more thankful for her help. We’ve learned the obedience, but the biggest help has been learning to shape his behavior and mindset to be a calmer and more secure dog. He would not be flourishing now without her help.

I also appreciate the flexibility in making up classes if you miss one, the experiences with play groups and pack walks, and always being approachable and accessible for questions. The team’s passion is unmatched. 10/10, highly recommend.“
