“Fantastic staff, I loved my time there! I just needed live sparring with people that were all my age so I didn't continue. If you are a kid to late teens this place is perfect for ya!“
“Such a wonderful place. Our 6yo son attended Gracie Bullyproof for over six months and had an amazing experience. The teachers are incredible with the kids. The kids have fun, bond and become friends, and begin learning the foundations of the discipline and of understanding personal space, bullying, and asserting their own of boundaries and agency. Many (almost all) women teachers and teacher’s aids created a truly inclusive environment. What a wonderful little community hiding in plain sight in this unassuming strip mall. Can’t recommend enough.“
“Brain has cultivated some extra special mojo in this dojo. To see so many young people participating, learning, and growing through Aikido is very cool!“
“My boys started here at 4 and 8. I was surprised at how well our 4 yo did, and how much Master Kelly accommodated to his age. In 2 years they have developed so much. You earn belts and strips quickly in the beginning, which is rewarding as the parent as well as the child. But Master Kelly doesn’t just move them up because they show up, but bc they earn it, they practice and they make an age appropriate effort. Age appropriate being key! All ages are encouraged to make perfect practice. Perfect practice makes perfect! I’m very happy with my choice to enroll the boys here!“
“My son takes classes in this school. We love the flexibility of the schedule. Also, they have a good philosophy - to teach children to avoid fights, use techniques to protect themselves and friends, be calm and focused, control their temper, and respect parents and teachers.“
“This place is awesome!!!! My sons and I have been attending for 3 years. We actually drive past 3 other martial arts schools to go here. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and the atmosphere is supportive, friendly, and focused. You come here to get in shape, have friends, and learn to fight. I like that the classes are no nonsense. You are there to learn and there to train. We work hard and play hard and support one another as we all advance. I have recommended this place to dozens of my friends and will continue to give them my highest appreciation and recommendation.“
“A great dojo that is very welcoming. Training with some of the VCU students was also pretty cool.“
“SoulShine is a really special space where wellness meets community building. Their yoga and nia classes are tailored to folks of all abilities. The community is super welcoming. I highly recommend SoulShine Studios :)“
“If you decide to take classes here you will be making a great decision. Ving Tsun is not only fun but challenging. Core strength, balance and structure are achieved rather quickly in this art. I’ve had classes with the school sifu and his knowledge and skill are surpassed by few.“
“My son Jackson has been a student of Master Cho's since January 2021 and it has been the best experience. I have watched him grow as a Little Tiger into a medal winning Brown belt. The teachers are absolutely amazing and I have seen them help build up confidence in some of the shyest kids. What amazes me the most is how well Master Cho and his teachers know each student, they know when to challenge them and when to encourage them. The Summer Camps are also amazing and each year Jackson wants to add another week because of all the fun he has. He is already counting down the days and looking for this years schedule so that he pick his weeks.Overall, for me, this place is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it.“
