“Yesterday I saw Roger Wallace at Kaiser Falls Church VA. My right hearing aid stopped working on Thanksgiving day. Within 5 business days I had an appointment to have it checked. Roger not only corrected the problem but cleaned and replaced the batteries in both hearing aids. He was very professional and efficient. He also reminded me how to take care of them at home. Each visit was broken into two sessions - tough-love deep tissue work followed by a friendly demonstration of tailored exercises to perform at home. After three sessions, I was 'discharged' to continue only with the home PT exercises. Two more weeks and my shoulder and arm feel 95% back to normal.“

“This was my first encounter with the department and I was apprehensive ; I am elderly (87) and have digestive problems that bother me and seriously detract from the quality of life. The doctor came in, asked the usual questions and the proceeded to integrate these into my MedStar file in a highly competent, professional fashion. At the end of the session, I had the very strong feeling that he understood what the issues were, where the gaps in critical data were and made arrangements to fill these gaps ( CatScan needed). The conclusion was an excellent summary of his understanding and an agreement to meet following the additional data gathering process at which time, the next steps will be discussed. It was a classic example of the scientific process in action and I greatly appreciated the transparency in this process.“

“Considering they’ve taken the profit motive away and attempt to pay their staff a living wage ya gotta give this to them.I’ve been coming here for years (over 10 to be exact) and I’ve dealt with the good and the not so good. “NVFP is the very best care you can receive. My primary doctor is Dr. Havert and she has been an absolute godsend. She is patient and open and willing to listen and isn’t dismissive when you tell her, “so, maybe this is nothing.. but…”. I have been dealing an issue that I knew wasn’t normal *for me* for YEARS but no other dr would listen. I would get the dismissive “oh, you are a mom” or “lose weight” or “yea, it’s aging”, but my labs were “fine”. Dr. Havert has been the only Dr. to sit down and say “huh. That’s no good. Let’s figure this out.” And the protocols we have experimented with have been LIFE CHANGING and I am starting to feel like my old self again. My children (who are little) see Dr. Gardner and he is so knowledgeable and also is so patient with me and the kids— thoroughly explaining to me what the issue is, how to manage it and/or when to call him. The staff are also incredibly nice and helpful. Their customer service is truly top notch. I tell everyone I meet about this practice. You cannot go wrong with any of the doctors!“

If we had the option, we would gladly give Ms. Leighton 10 stars across the board, but for now, please accept our heartfelt 5-star rating.

Ms. Leighton's knowledge and expertise as a nurse practitioner are truly remarkable. It is evident that she is well-versed in her field, and her ability to explain medical matters in a clear and understandable manner has been invaluable to us. Her empathetic and caring nature has made every visit a comforting and reassuring experience for my mom, mother-in-law, husband, son, and myself.

Over the years, Ms. Leighton has been an essential part of our family's healthcare journey. From routine check-ups to more complex medical situations, she has always been there with a compassionate and attentive approach. Her commitment to our well-being has not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful to have such a knowledgeable person as our trusted healthcare provider.

We also want to extend our appreciation to Dr. Horn, whose expertise has complemented Ms. Leighton's care wonderfully. Dr. Horn's concierge program for my mother-in-law was very helpful, and we remember one time when my mother-in-law needed assistance, he even went to see her at her house. This act of kindness speaks volumes about Dr. Horn's caring and knowledgeable nature.

The entire staff at Old Dominion Medical Center is outstanding, and we would be remiss not to mention Yolanda's exceptional service. Her efficiency and empathy whether in the office or over the phone, have made every interaction a pleasant one.
The office also has Quest diagnostic for your convenience with your lab work. Thanks to Olivia who did my lab work last week, she knows her job well.
