“Manex remodeling is an awesome company. They did renovate my 2 bathrooms, my 2 living rooms (first floor and second floor) stairs , railings and basically my whole house except kitchen with competitive price. They even installed a washer hook up upstairs. Tony , their leader is easy to talk with and gave precise advise on what to buy just like porcelain tiles, shower system, freestanding tub, laminate floor, toilet sit and more. He encouraged me also to change my stairs railings and I am very happy with the outcome. Their electrician is very skilled and knowledgeable. The team plumber who did my second floor plumbing system because of expanding my bathroom and installing my washer is very meticulous. The one who installed the porcelain tiles is very precise and pleasant and very satisfying to work with. All of his team did their best to work with my family that we don’t need to rent an apartment to evacuate the house . I even leave some of my furniture in my living room , family room and bedrooms and their team work it out while changing the floor and repaint the rooms. When I found out that that I have a leak on my main water line and probably has been happening for years , Tony send his plumber to fix it immediately. Their HVAC guy is very helpful to rearrange my air ducts inlets and outflow ducts. Manex will also be doing my windows replacement in few weeks. All in all my family was satisfied with all the work they have done, to listen to my concern, and respond appropriately to my questions. I can choose all five qualities written on the question, professionalism, work quality, value, punctuality, and responsiveness. “Used plumbing services and was surprised by the expertise of Ed and his team in their persistence to clean a clogged pipe that had been previously diagnosed to need digging up the floor for replacement. Also, had a sink basin replaced that meant granite top needed to removed. Ed was able to do so without breakage. I am very pleased with work from Steinhorst!“

“The experience that I had with Fairfax Kitchen and Bath, specifically Sena, was phenomenal. Sena was consistent in her communication, understood what I wanted for the design, and provided sound advice regarding the space that I was working with and materials. If you have the opportunity to work with Sena, request her! SHE IS AMAZING. The staff that demolished and constructed the space was also amazing. The work was completed ahead of schedule, effectively and diligently. I have a beatiful end product!

However, the reason I am giving this a 4 star review is because of the project manager, Ata. There was a big lack of communication and here are some examples. First, as the project came to a close and the staff was coming in and out of my house less. When this happened, I took the lockbox off the house beacuse I didn't want it hanging on the door unnecessarily. Communication during this time was inconsisstent and I did not know when people would be coming to complete more work. Due to this, there were times when I would be notified that work would resume MINUTES before and I was already at work and had no way of getting home to allow people in. Next, I recieved a video of a broken pipe that needed to be replaced. While I appreciate the communication and request for approval, I went home shortly after to see the pipe and verify that it was my space. I noticed it was already replaced. The reason this was concerning to me was because it looked THE SAME days prior to that. Which lead me to believe that the pipe was replaced before my approval for an addition 3K. Also, I requested a heated towel rack be installed and purchased a unit that had hard wiring compatibility. It was not installed in this way and later the wall had to be taken apart again and I was made to feel as though I didn't order the proper part. The box had also been thrown out before approval of the installation success. Lasltly, when work was completed and it was time for the final inspection, I was informed that it was happening on a certain date. I did not hear from Ata regarding the results of the inspection for weeks. I later found out the inspection never happened and that he was going to be at my house AGAIN "in 5 minutes". I provided feedback that the lockbox was not on the door AGAIN because I was unaware of arrival and there was no way to get home in that timeframe. He informed me that "this was a problem because the inspector can only be rescheduled 3 times". This frustrated me because that wasn't my fault and his lack of communication was the reason nothing was prepared for their entry. Finally, multiple times through the process he asked me to leave a "5 star review" before any work had started, while it was ocurring , or was completed. I'm glad that I waited to provide full and transparent feedback.“

“Miguel was the project manager and Alex was the lead contractor on my home project. We had new support columns installed on our portico and outside our kitchen bay windows. We added midway a reconstruct of our garage door frame work and garage door. Miguel was informative, adaptive to my concerns and was very hands-on making sure the crew had the right materials. His regular visits and our interactions were always positively informative. Alex's craftsmanship was topnotch. He always greeted either my wife or I with great positivity and kept us informed on his tasks for the day. If I had a question, Alex was attentive to explain immediately. During the garage door install by a sub-contractor, a few issues arose, and Miguel was timely in response and Alex upon arrival, worked diligently to minimize delay. We are happy with the project results and this is our second time using HB. I highly recommend HB and team Miguel/Alex. Thank you!“

“I received several kitchen remodeling estimates and SkillsDesign was the only company that suggested rearranging the layout which then allows me to have standard or full size appliances, instead expensive nonstandard sizes. So for less than the cost of the difference between a special size dishwasher and a standard size dishwasher, they suggested to rearrange the footprint and than my door would come out to my back porch, essentially adding square footage to my tiny house. It was brilliant. I was in surprised no one else suggested that and I just got an overwhelming feeling that they cared and I feel that is not something you find very often anymore, a company that cares and SKillsDesign does and it’s a local family owned business. Unfortunately I’m not in the area, so I was sadly only able to use them for the designing, but it was well worth it. I also have a very small space, so they took the time and designed every single cabinet to my specifications. The communication was excellent and they were always on time and if you’re lucky enough to live in the area, I would highly recommend using them for any and all remodeling projects as they have many talents and can turn your remodeling project to something that will blow away any and all competition. Peter did a great job incorporating our initial design needs into a unique design for our backyard & dealt with challenging elevation changes. We started the project in December '22 & it was complete mid May '23. The extended timeline of a winter build was a bit frustrating at times but as promised our pool was completed per contract before summer. As first time pool owners we're very impressed with the quality & workmanship & our kids love the diving board, water fall & Typhoon slide. We highly recommend Peter & Sunrise Premiere Pools of VA. Price was middle of the road but the level of performance and personal Ritz Carlton touch was incredible and should not be underestimated. 100% support your decision to choose them.Richard, HB, and the crew are perfectionists. From the initial no pressure contact in person to every site visit everything was smooth and a pleasure. This is our 5th home and I can tell you that never had I had such a great experience. “We have had five years of very good experience with our Waterfurnance unit and ground loop installed by North American GeoThermal. Occasionally our unit would go off line due to electrical storms so last year we had North American install the Intellistart component to forestall this from happening. This past year, the unit operated flawlessly. We travelled over Labor Day weekend - my wife noted that our home system is so much quieter and better than the hotel room units that were noisy, very drafty, and fluctuated widely between cold and hot.Service: A/C services“
