“We engaged Mayflower back in 2021 for a kitchen remodel that turned out far better than we could have ever imagined. When it came time for a makeover of our master bathroom in 2023, we knew who to call!As with our kitchen, the master bathroom in our Del Ray, VA duplex is TINY and therefore has very little storage space. In fact, other than a small medicine cabinet, there was no storage at all to speak of. So this was priority number one. Other than that, we just wanted an updated shower/bath with modern fixtures, a more powerful toilet, and better lighting.After another wonderful design consultation with Nicole (she is the best!), we scheduled the work to be done when we’d be out of town for a couple of weeks. This is the second remodel that Mayflower has done in our absence and they take tremendous care to keep our house clean and return it to its original state when done.Again, we returned to a bathroom that looked better than we ever expected! Now there is a ton of storage, excellent lighting, and utterly gorgeous blue tile to view every day. We couldn’t be happier!Mayflower is the only business we’ll use for future remodels. “Simply fantastic. We had our entire 1st floor with an existing dated red oak hardwood floor redone to a more modern brownish stain as well as stairs in our 2006 built home. Javier and his team really know what they are doing! Well explained, and did all the furniture moving for us (and put it back once complete). Lots of work (1 week) but at a very reasonable price. Included dust abatement, and stain and finish. Javier was intent in ensuring we were happy with the look everywhere before proceeding to the next step. What a professional business he and his partner, Janette run. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to update their home with without tearing out the original hardwood (especially with material costs sky rocketing nowadays).“

“Dealing with Clawes was a great experience from start to finish. After receiving proposals from three companies for a straightforward carpeting job and a far more difficult wood flooring job, we felt much more comfortable dealing with Doug from Clawes. A previous general contractor had renovated our kitchen by installing new wood floors and then badly damaging them during the cabinet and appliance installation. The existing wood planks ran under the the cabinets so the old floor would need to be cut where they met. Doug assured me he had a crew that could do the job without damaging the new cabinets, but he was straightforward in advising that the only issue might be the need for shoe molding to hide any slight gap where the new flooring and cabinets met, meaning that we could lose use of two toe kick cabinets at floor level.The crew, led by Esser and Fidel, were every bit as good as Doug said they were. They not only cut away the old flooring and installed the new flooring without the slightest scratch, but they also painstakingly removed the toe kick drawers and other molding at the bottom of the cabinets so there was no gap where they met, avoiding the need for shoe molding and maintaining use of the two floor level drawers. This company is terrific!“
