Fairmont is by far my favorite indoor pool in Salt Lake City! Unfortunately the lapse hours have been very limited and sporadic since Covid and they haven’t seem to come back to a full schedule yet. It’s such a gorgeous facility. I hope it continues to be used to its fullest capacity in the future so that we can continue to have this pool in our neighborhood.
This is a great place to go swimming! They have a kids section with a really big water slide, fountains, and a lazy river. There are lanes for more serious swimmers. There are water aerobic classes and swimming lessons for kids.
I've only been able to swim at this pool once because the hours are ridiculously inconsistent. The pool was closed for months, and now it is only open from 6-9 am to swim laps. That's it. It doesn't reopen again until 4 pm, and then there are teams in every lane from 4 until they close at 8. If you're lucky, you might actually get to swim two nights a week from 7-8pm. What is the use in paying for memberships to pools if you can't use them? Climbing the hill to get to Steiner when there is ice and snow is not always safe. Y'all need to get it together.
