I was looking for a small gym with a trainer that could help address, and work with, my multiple back surgeries and the resulting metal that was installed. At 55, I needed guidance and encouragement. Little did I know it was literally 2 miles from my house.I made an appointment to meet Joanna and, during that initial meeting, quickly realized she was, and had, everything I’d been searching for.Joanna is amazing and the gym she works out of is fabulous. Everyone there is kind and encouraging. But Joanna takes the top prize. She focuses on getting my entire body back into shape. When I am having issues with my back, she is gentle and caring and focuses on the appropriate exercise and therapies to keep me active while not aggravating the existing issues.My only regret is not being able to utilize her services daily, simply due to my chaotic work and travel schedules. If I need to miss an appointment or reschedule due to last minute travel or meetings, she is incredibly flexible and works with me.I highly recommend you visit with her. You’ll see exactly what I mean!“

I have been attending classes for more than a year, and enthusiastically recommend them for people of all ages and abilities. I am in my late 50s and had a smattering of yoga experience through previous classes and YouTube videos, but Hanif’s approach and attention to individual needs and abilities have made Rising Hearts my yoga home, and I am so grateful for it.Specific aspects that I appreciate include:- In-studio and Zoom classes (concurrent); being on-site and in-person is my favorite way to attend, but the live Zoom classes are terrific when traveling or otherwise unable to attend in person- Attendees ranging from high school ages to older folks, each getting individualized attention- A progressive class structure that moves you from basic breathing and asanas to more advanced poses, explaining how to get the most from each along the way- A daily “rest and restore” session that easily adapts to whomever is in attendance- Detailed practice sheets shared with all new students- Hanif’s caring, attentive instruction; he is very tuned in to what his students need at every session, and balances suggestions and encouragement to meet you where you areWhat stands out most to me is Hanif’s obvious dedication to sharing breathing, movement, and mindfulness techniques to help people find more peace and good their daily lives. She works out with the class,explains how to do each exercise,etc.I look forward to the classes.They motivate me to keep going.
