“After receiving assistance from Chelsea with the salon, my problems were remedied.I rarely write reviews, but my ordeal at Thairapie Salon is too egregious to stay silent. I initially visited for a hair extension move-up, but what followed was a cascade of disappointments.Firstly, the extensions, installed by stylist Morgan, came untied in less than a week. After having to coordinate a 2nd appointment to correct this ended up being rescheduled at the last minute, without any notification to let me know about the appointment time, and even felt like I was a bother when I had to spend more of my time calling to find out why I had received a confirmation text for a difference appointment time than I’d scheduled to which only then was I notified that my originally scheduled time wasn’t available for the stylist and that they had to move me to this new time which luckily, I was able to adjust my day to accommodate alternate time, mainly because I didn’t want to spend the holidays with my hair in disarray.Yet, just a day after this 2nd visit, the same problem occurred when one of the rows came untied and was hanging loose again. It was clear that returning to Thairapie for a 3rd attempt was out of the question, given the dismal track record.Compounding this fiasco, I live in Austin, a three-hour drive from Thairapie. Desperate for competent service, I made an unplanned trip to my regular stylist in Austin, incurring significant additional costs for a 3rd move-up. This was necessary to correct Thairapie’s subpar work.I’ve had extensions for over 6 years and am extremely experienced in taking care of them and I have never once had anything like this happen over all of those years or even anything close to it.Seeking a resolution, I reached out to Thairapie, expecting at least a semblance of professional accountability. Instead, my calls and emails, laden with evidence of their stylist’s incompetence, have been ignored. My regular stylist in Austin even provided a professional statement outlining the poor quality of Thairapie’s work, but this too fell on deaf ears.Never in a million years did I think I’d demand a refund from a salon, but Thairapie’s handling of this situation leaves me no choice. Their refusal to acknowledge or rectify their blunders is a glaring testament to their lack of customer care. Unfortunately though, I can only assume that I pretty much just flushed my money down the drain and that Therapie has zero intention of making even a dismal attempt at resolving their errors now that I’ve had all of my calls to them be dodged, been told down right lies that I would expect a call from the owner, which was never coming, nor do they seem to feel a responsibility to respond to my multiple emails.It’s disheartening, given the inconvenience and additional expenses I’ve endured. I chose Thairapie based on its reputation, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their disregard for service quality and customer satisfaction is appalling.I urge others to beware of Thairapie’s services. Their blatant indifference to customer concerns and quality is a red flag. This salon’s reputation should be questioned, not just for their subpar services, but also for their total disregard for customer grievances seemingly as a company culture. I hope my ordeal serves as a warning to anyone considering Thairapie for their hair care needs.“
