“Went in for an underboob/torso piece with Em. I had sent her a few inspo pics that were pretty, but not well done, and we discussed my hopes during our consult. Y'all, Em knocked it out of the damn park. She showed me the full colour finished pice and it was SO beautiful, way beyond what I had hoped. The day of was really laid back and chill: we chatted a bit about odd tattoos she's done and the worst places to get one. Well lucky me, I picked a pretty painful part but she was as gentle as she could possibly be. We took breaks, her for food and me for coffee, and get about 95% done in 1 full day session. She booked me for my touch up that same day and said there would be no charge for the time since she quoted what she quoted, but I'm happily going to pay her hourly rate plus top for her time. Em herself is very down to earth and chill, open to your feedback and tweaking things to get exactly what you want. Mike from the front desk is cool as hell, and the space is very well lit and exceptionally clean. Other artists popped by while we were working and loved her vision of what I wanted. Overall a 15/10 experience and I'm even finding more art that I want Em to do now.“

“Needed to get an old belly button piercing stretched out. Everywhere else I called said re piercing it would just be easier and quoted me 50 dollars. I already have 2 holes in my belly button wasn't thrilled for a 3 rd. Luckily they made the stretching easy. 20 bucks total Blue was quick and nice and the girls at the front super sweet. Highly recommend“

“I had an amazing experience at Gold Dust Tattoos, one of the top shops in Dallas. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed—the shop doubles as an art gallery, with beautiful paintings on the walls, and even features custom leather bags designed by Char McGaughy, the owner and artist. Both the artwork and bags are available for purchase, making the space truly unique.

I scheduled a consultation with Char to discuss the tattoo I wanted, including the size and placement. She was an excellent listener, suggested a few thoughtful changes, and encouraged me to share my feedback. A few days before my appointment, she sent me the updated drawing, which I absolutely loved.

On the day of my tattoo, Char was fully prepared and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process, which took just over two hours. She was professional, thoughtful, and reassuring from start to finish.

Overall, the experience was incredible—I walked away more than pleased with the final result. Gold Dust Tattoos is not just a tattoo shop, it’s an inspiring creative space and gallery. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Char and her team!
