“Was visiting Dallas from Charlotte, NC and had put off trying to do a cover on a bad tattoo from 20+ years ago. I was staying directly across the street and had some free time on my trip. I reached out to DT&A and Kelly responded quickly. Visited the studio the day I arrived with some pictures and got connected with Alex who I think is either new there or visiting. He speaks Portuguese and limited English but several of his co-workers helped translate - as did Google translate. No lie, I was pretty nervous. I got the sense from several artists that a cover up like this was going to be a real challenge. But after discussing details I was in a chair and Alex free-handed what I had in mind. We decided to split up what we end up being 10 hours in the chair over 2 days (thank goodness).At the end of day 2 all I can say is wow. So talented. I really cannot tell it is a cover-up and it is exactly what I wanted.The facility is clean, fun, lively and full of talented folks from the looks of it. They were jamming too, I rarely saw anyone sitting around and steady stream of customers. Everything was clean, sanitized, covered, etc.I came back on day 3 and asked for a small tweak and addition of color and Alex gracefully snuck me in and did exactly what I asked, recleaned and covered everything all before another large project he was starting.Glad I visited and thankful to have been connected with such a talent. The selfie, raw, 1-day after covered in second skin picture does not do it justice but hopefully you get the idea of before and after.“
“We both got tattooed by Ninja. My sister wanted an anime piece and looking through artists, she came across his Instagram page to message him. It was an easy process from there. Ninja worked with her and decided to make her a custom piece instead! I also wanted a tattoo and even though he had a busy schedule he was able to fit us both in for an appointment. When we arrived at the shop he worked with us to get the tattoo how we wanted and looked (my sisters anime tattoo was a bit harder since it was on a curved arm area), he was really nice and made us comfortable. The best thing was he was able to work within our budget for a reasonable price! We love our designs, thank you !“
