We are five hours from home and I've been in Dallas for three months while my daughter fights for her life with an aggressive form of rare leukemia. Butterflies are a symbol of transformation and our family adopted the symbol when my cousin passed away three years ago and we continue this symbol of hope on our journey with Carlie Jo. I wanted the orange ribbon as the symbol for leukemia and I wanted it to all look like a butterfly just came and landed on my shoulder. All staff was welcoming, professional, kind, and I got to surprise my daughter with this tattoo. Her smile says it all!!
