“Gas company identified a small leak in the plumbing section coming out of the ground going into our home. Billed about 6 man-hours (master plumber + 3 helpers) & ~$750 charge to replace a 1' section of that pipe. No digging or anything else. This seemed like an excessive bill. In the end, the gas company required inspection to turn service back on. United Mechanical ended up rolling 1-2 trucks out here at least 3 times to handle the repair, testing & inspection and a minor code compliance upgrade. The end bill was 8 man-hours and $1077. Neighbors had comparable leaks and charged multiples of my bill. So 5 stars is fair.“
