Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Extremely rude receptionist. Treated us like absolute crap. Poor management. Incompetent, pathetic employees. DO NOT GO TO MONARCH EYE CARE!!!!!
Today, 3 of my family members had eye exams (1:30). Due to the holiday traffic we were 15 minutes late. (I called). When I arrived there were no customers in the office and had 2 staff members at the front desk. I was told to fill out 3 new forms, 1 for each member (even though they are already in the system). If you choose not to get dilation, the cost is $39. I decided to get dilation for my 2 children. One of the staff members took the girls in the back to have their eyes dilated. (Time is 2:07). I'm not sure why it took so long from the time we got there since no one else was in the office. The staff did not tell us that the girls would have to wait 30 minutes before being seen. If they had told me this, I would have paid for the picture over dialation for my daughter. My husband chose the picture over dialation and was required to pay the $39 prior to being seen. I did not like that it was required to pay up front before being seen. This made me feel like they felt we wouldn't pay. I have NEVER been asked to pay for services for an eye exam prior, I always pay at the end when I am also paying for my glasses. My husband was called back even though I explained that one of my daughters needed to be seen 1st since she had another appt. When the Dr came out of my husbands exam, my daughter was waiting for her (2:43). The Dr. Went into another room to start an exam on another patient who came in after us, and their appt was scheduled after ours as well. At this time, I told them that we needed to leave and that my daughter would NOT be getting an eye exam. I would NOT recommend this business to any of my friends or family. My daughter told me after we left that the front office lady who put the drops in her eyes smelled like cigarettes.
Monarch Eye Care is the worst company I've ever done business with for my vision care. First of all, they charged me double for my contacts what I paid 2 years ago at the same location. Secondly, I spend 8 months working out a problem with my bill. Their high turnover I'm sure was a part of this. Thirdly, they told me at the time of my appointment that I would need to submit a claim to get reimbursed for my exam & lenses (no problem. I've done that at many vision locations). BUT...after submitting my claim to my insurance, I found out that Monarch did indeed file my claim AND kept my $150 that was supposed to be reimbursed to me. I will never go back to this establishment. Buyer beware!
